Latest word is that Stephen and Jerry Jr want Schotty and Jerry wants Deion. The biggest idiot wins.

ugh....if this is true, and it probably isn't. But if it is, I want Deion.

This team needs a new identity. Not the same people.

I don't even have faith in Deion as a coach, but at least it's a new direction.

Apparently Deion doesn’t want to coach twice a year against his son who is projected to go to the giants.
Can’t blame him for that.

The best possible solution then would be to trade up for Shedeur.

That is what is being reported.

If it's true then our coach will probably be Schotty, because all indications are that Stephen wins when the two disagree.

There are no winners when it comes to the decisions Jerry and Stephen make. You guys can't see that by now. Jesus.

Looks like we finally have Stephen and Jerry's vision for the future of the Cowboys. A second rate head coach at best with a 3ird rate staff to go along with it. Now after they pay Parsons the 38-40 mill he will be commanding, him, Lamb and Dumb Dak will take up around 122 million of the cap on 3 players. Can't wait to see how they build and fill out the remaining roster of 50 players with so little to work with. Micah and Mariner should be so proud today.  :guitar:

At least Eberflus is a decent hire for them. Good DC.

It sounds like Schotty will call plays. The one positive is he does have a reputation for producing a very good run game. So, the Cowboys should be more balanced (run/pass). Which should benefit Dak. Because you don't want him throwing it 40x a game.

Yea Eberflus is a good hire. He coached LB’s and I believe DL in Dallas when Parcells was the HC. At one point some thought he would be the one to take over for Parcells. Then TO happened.

    Stop Jack. Your being too funny. There is nothing positive about any of this. But I am happy Cowboy fans are miserable. They deserve it though for being so stupid over the years. :D

This is not as bad as it seems, I'll tell you why. It's because Matt Eberflus will have a bigger impact to the outcome than Schotty will.

Only the Panthers gave up more points on defense than Dallas. The defense was historically bad for the franchise. I haven't looked but I think it's possible that it was the worst defense in the history of the franchise.

I am not a fan of the Schotty hire, it absolutely feels like they just wanted a "yes sir" guy in there. But the most important thing overall was replacing Zimmer as DC and we did that.

If Dallas is ever going to be a playoff contender, it's going to be with the defense. Just like almost all the teams we are seeing in the playoffs right now. Dak and the offense are what they are. They can be a top-10 offense, but not an elite #1 offense. They need a KC type defense to advance and getting Zimmer out is the first step toward that.
