dang... JI at 3 .... even though we can see he's still not where he wants to be. hahah. that's crazy! And Georgian Beast! GOGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! hope he's back by the next game!

Which is why I wouldn’t trade him. He isn’t the same but he’ll be fine. The body adapts to the strength. He needed to strengthen up to protect future injuries. If we get to the playoffs I’d bet he be a huge factor in our success.

Last 6 games have been blowouts.

We're comparing him to JI last year.... And 60% of that individual is still "the ish". Yeah ... I'm not worried. If his added weight/strength helps him out health wise.... I'm for it. Wouldnt be surprised if weight drops a little as the season goes on and a lean but physically more durable JI exists.

Whatever Strictly is called in the States, Howard does still look to be fit from his dancing.

Look, he won't play 15-209 minutes a night. He would be an emergency 3rd string Center. If he would agree to 1M for that, then yes, that is better than keeping Houstan.

No way does his big mouth allow him to mentally accept that role...I just don't see that guy coming in without thinking he's the savior and it's his triumphant homecoming. I could just see him "mansplaining" how it's done to Paolo and Franz, who actually developed basketball skills in HS that surpass Dwight's. Dwight was an awesome player, with phenomenal impact, but he was always a childish jerk and largely reliant on his insane physical gifts - which are no doubt gone...which leaves us with just a childish jerk.

Some of yall did not experience the Dwightmare, and it shows.

Or if you did, you rabbit-holed it, which I also distrust...

I've watched the Magic since their inception, I very clearly remember the Dwight fiasco but I also couldn't care less. A lot of professional athletes are scummy people, just like a lot of Hollywood celebrities. Being famous and rich does that to many people. I care nothing about any of it and was suggesting to bring him in because of on the court benefit. He was playing big minutes overseas, which means he's at least healthy. Even if his skills have declined significantly he's most likely still a better player than WCJ. On Mike Millers podcast about 7-8 months ago he said he wants to play one more season, and he wants it to be for the Magic. If the contract made sense, which I'm sure it would, I wouldn't mind at all if he returned for a final year. He's much older than he was back then, just as I'm sure you've changed since you were younger (or maybe you're still young) he may have changed as well.

Even if he hasn't, who cares. It's about interior defense and rebounds, which the team needs. If he sucks we get rid of him, it's not complicated.

There’s just some really weird strange stories around Dwight and the whole lawsuit thing was really bad PR. I will say he’s be a hell of a strength and conditioning coach though.

The Whole "Dwightmare" fiasco was just the cherry on top...he was always a childish clown. He thought he was a fun-loving joker, but he was just a jerk as soon as his talent caught up with his body (which was very quickly). Look at he interacted with Kobe...I don't doubt that he MIGHT have enough in the tank to physically give us 10 good minutes off the bench...but the damage to the locker room would outweigh that (again- IF he can play). He's better off playing in China, being a lovable, cartoonish physical God. His personality is too big and too immature to bring around this team for very little basketball benefit.

As far as training staff...I'd look to the doctor that writes his "supplements" first

Agree to disagree. I don't think you want a person of his character looked up to by a locker room full of mostly under 25 year olds.

lol @ Dwight. You’d like to think he’s grown up but the history actions are just to out in left field. Big no for me.
