Don’t do that to me, I don’t need that comparison swimming around in my brain matter.

I know we love this Chomche kid, but Maluach could be a dominant big.

He could space the floor with his gravity because the big is going to have to stay attached to him at all times, if not it's a drop off or a lob over the top.

I think that Chomche has as much 3pt shooting potential as Maluach. I would rather use a late 1st/2nd pick on Ivisic's than use the early pick on Maluach.

Chomche would look good in high-post passing to cutters. He would be the rim-protector and lob threat that Poeltl is no longer.

Ino your high on Ivisic, and I like him too, not as much as you, but I like him, but Maluach is on a different tier potential wise, don't u agree?

Ivisic doesn't move as well as I would like my bigs, but he's definitely late 1st early 2nd worthy

For me , as far as Raptor prospects

Cooper / ACE / Harper / VJ
Gap
Jak / Tororae / Tre Johnson /Egor (wouldn't really want any of these cats on the raps)
Gap
Maluach

Everyone else either doesn't tickle my fancy or I haven't done my Google's yet.

I like D.Queen tho

Someone sell me on CMB cause I just see a very undersized post player.

The hope is that you can turn him into a wing at the NBA level. From what I understand he's mostly a small ball center at this point. I'm actually more interested in Rasheer Fleming at this stage.

What is Maluach at best? Mark Williams? Donovan Clingan with less blocks but can shoot outside?

Chomche might be smaller but he's leading the GLeague in blocks per game and showing nice passing instincts. Who's to say that Chomche isn't going to be more versatile and even better than Maluach?

I think the general rule I like to adopt is that if a C isn't a clear top 2 or 3 pick then you can probably find someone similar like Kel'el Ware or Jarrett Allen in the back half of the 1st round or early 2nd.

Tomislav is already 21 (junior aged) but what makes Maluach a better prospect? T his the 3 at 35% and shoots it with confidence. He passes well with an A/T over 1.5 (good for a big). 7'1 mobile like Jarrett Allen, is a lob threat. Has decent perimeter defense and has a BPM of 12. With the passing, he's a better prospect that Ware, who was drafted as a sophomore.

Currently beyond getting a top 4 pick, my ideal draft would be Rasheer Fleming, Tomislav Ivisic and Sergio de Larrea (stash for 1 year). Heck add Zvonimir for the 905 with a pick in the 50's. Can you imagine Chomche and Zvonimir going at it in practice. Also blocking everything with the 905. :D

PG IQ - Shead - Jakobe
SG Dick - Agbaji - Jakobe
SF Barrett - Mobgo - Battle
PF Barnes - Rasheer - Mobgo
C Poeltl - Tomislav - Chomche

I was not familiar with his game, he immediately jumps up to 5th on my Raptor big board. He would look amazing next to Scottie. He's like what we really wanted from OG

His shooting stroke is kinda Durant-like and he’s an absolute beast on the defensive end. Why does he look like he’s 7 ft tall out there lol

I guess he's a bit bigger with massive almost 7'5 wingspan. I guess he can guard 2-5 whereas OG can guard 1-4.

To me, he's a similar player to Cooper Flagg but with less handles.

He dunks so easily and has a massive wingspan. Maybe just the opponents haven't had any 6'11 or 7 footers?

Ideally,

If we can get two picks one of our top one and one in mid teens I'd love to grab this guy he would be an excellent replacement for OG. We have some smaller wings or guards we need some beef and athleticism and grit, get Fleming and another top pick and keep Yak. We can try to take a center with 2nd round pick or trade for one eventually and hope Chomche develops.

Exactly right. I like Ochai but we have too many guards and I see Mogbo as a good 6th/7th glue guy but need more forward beef at SF or someone tall like Flagg,Bailey or Rasheer. CMB may just be duplicating Mogbo, though may be better.

Rasheer with a decent game yesterday vs Dayton, 13 pt, 7 reb, 3 ast (0 tos), 1 stl and 2 blks.

The Raptors now have a ~35% chance of drafting in the 7-8 range.

*sigh*

What a mess our season has quickly become...

If can get another 2nd pick later on, Maxime Raynaud has only missed 1 FT in January.

Could he be a 7'1 Frank Kaminsky? He could be similar to Tomislav with less passing? I say draft all of Tomislav, Raynaud, Zvonimir and see who develops. Really just get these 7'1 bigs that can shoot over 35% from 3. Heck even Kalkbrenner. This seems to be a crazy draft that has so many C's that shoot the 3 better than guards. Like last year, the C's didn't have 3 pt shooting yet, Clingan, Edey, Missi; I guess Ware can shoot.

Trade Olynyk now and Poeltl in the summer.

March is truly going to be MADNESS. Any team can beat any team in any round. Such a fluctuation of the top 25.

It's so apparent how awful that rutgers team is outside of Bailey and Harper
