Congrats Carter. Thanks for helping make the 90s one of the best era’s w/ spectacular dunks that got kids like me excited.

He was a great player and managed to stick around for like 20 years because he expanded his game as his athleticism faded and was willing to accept his role. I'm sure there were other players like that, but I can't think of any. Haslem stuck around along time, but he was never All NBA level player like VC. I guess maybe his Nets teammates Jason Kidd when he got older with the Mavs?

Look at the roster. He pretty much has to play. Maybe if Dru Smith wasn't injured, but there's really no one else. Heat don't have a PG on the roster.

VC depended on physical gifts, he was blessed to have longevity in the league.

Jimmy might still get his one day. Or not. Everyone except Hardaway is a champ from Heat's retired numbers. Jimmy might be in that category. Then a guy like Glen Rice is not up there.
