We have had reported interest in Wiggins in the past, and golden state is stuck in mediocrity with a still great Steph. Maybe they could be Jimmy players.

I’m trying to work through some scenarios where we send out Khris, Bobby, Pat, marjon and end up with Wiggins and cam Johnson.

Gsw ends up with Jimmy

Heat end up with Khris and Bobby

Nets end up with leftover stuff and either two first from golden state, or one from us.

As RP pointed out, cam’s 4.5M unlikely incentives make it harder to pull off.

________

Current Wiggins and cam would operate probably pretty similarly to the wings that helped Phoenix get to the finals in 21, but we’d have a better top 2, and a better defensive anchor center. At least, that’s the premise I’m working with right now.

Right, just like criticizing any trade idea as being unrealistic, and beyond what the Bucks would pay, is also fair game.

You're not dealing with a bunch of casuals. Everyone here knows that 99.9% of trades we talk about aren't going to happen. But keep yelling at clouds. I was just sharing my two pennies.

I mean we traded Bledsoe for Jrue after a 56-17 and near 10 SRS season. We traded Jrue 2 years removed from a championship for Damian Lillard. And even more generally, there have been reports over the years that Horst is one of the more active GMs in the league.

The idea that any of us know what is and isn't realistic for this organization from a trades/transaction perspective is silly, no one **** knows. Obviously if it's something braindead like a Giannis trade, that should be shot down immediately. Or if it's something that literally is not possible due to cap rules/financial restrictions, that should be called out as well. But short of that, most ideas should be fair game to discuss.

This is ridiculous, just get Jimmy. Nobody else comes even remotely close to a good fit. Don’t take anybody scraps that they’re upgrading from. Swear to **** if our assets go to Miami and we don’t get Jimmy I’m going to lose my ****.

**** Beal, LaVine, Wiggins, Ingram, Randle, DeRozan, is there any other overpaid downgrade you guys want kick the tires on?

Bucks trade: Khris, Bobby, Pat (into a TPE)
Bulls trade: LaVine, Chris Duarte

So our third big is…Taurean Prince? :-?

Prince considers himself much more of a 4 than a 3.

But yeah we'd need to find another 5 even with Giannis playing more small ball.

Idk if that guy needs to be in the top 9 rotation in this scenario though:

PG: Dame
SG: LaVine, AJ Green, GTJ
SF: Ajax, Duarte
PF: Giannis, Prince
C: Brook

Swapping MarJon or Delon Wright or one of our young guys or some combo (we'd be out of the 2nd apron) for a 10th man caliber big man seems doable.

If you're going to do this teal you have to be pretty certain LaVine can play a whole lot of SF. Playing him 30 minutes at SG makes no sense given the impact it would have on Green and Trent (your two best bench players).

Dame's defense drives me nuts, but I appreciate that he at least gives more effort than Luka.

Mavs get: Portis, Livingston, Bucks 2nd
Blazers get: Kleber, Prosper, Mavs 2025- 1st
Bucks get: Robert Williams, Dalano Banton

Mavs could get Williams themselves, but they might want a floor spacer with their floor spacing big, Kleber, out. Portis gives them someone more durable too, and could also play next to Gafford and eventually Lively.

Id send the Mavs Marjon, but they're too close to the hard cap.

Edited to put in the right Williams.

Hopefully other teams forget to watch the Middleton tape from tonight. That’s not good

Once again, **** NO!!! to Lavine. This team has no problem scoring and already has too many guards. Frontcourt is the problem. Focus there.

After tonight, I’m 100% fine consolidating Midds/Bobby into an impactful player. Even if it’s Jimmy.

I’ve long been one of Midds biggest supports. He deserves a statue for ‘21. But he is absolutely cooked. Anyone with a head of steam is getting by him to the bucket. He is no threat to drive so everyone can get into his shot.

Just do the Jimmy deal, send the 2nd along with Pat to Detroit to get under the apron, send Portis and Midds to the Heat, and give Jimmy a verbal commitment to a two year max extension after he opts out to tie his timeline with Dame’s.

If you get playoff Jimmy from two years ago you’ve got a great chance to get to the finals. If you don’t, you weren’t getting there with Bobby/Midds, Beal, Lavine, Ingram, or anyone else they could reasonably acquire. Jimmy is the one guy they can acquire that has finals upside.

Yeah, I don't know. Jimmy scares the **** out of me, but it was clear to me tonight that Khris as we've known him might be gone.
