If the Bucks would really need to include our 2031 first in any of these deals that’s another big variable.

I don’t think one game tanks Khris’ value but it doesn’t help after he had been appearing to be trending in a better direction.

Am hoping I haven’t been too naive in imagining the Heat believing they could help him or that Chicago or whoever else would think his contract is neutral at least for them as part of the deal.

Lol you guys really do just live game to game

I promise you, Khris's trade value doesn't disintegrate after one bad performance. His stats on the year are very solid

Yup, this terrible game by Mids dropped his per 36 stats to 18.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists with a 3 to 1 assist to turnover ratio, and 1.3 steals on 58TS%. His previous 4 games he shot 64% from the floor. I don't know what the hell last night was, but he remains very appealing to numerous teams.

If he's dealt, it should be to get more athletic, not to get a different old geezer.

Also do we think he can take the PG role Khris has been doing?

Honest questions!

Jimmy unquestionably could do both but also is out of his mind and needs a fat extension into years his game will undoubtedly fall off.

He can’t catch and shoot like LaVine, but on the court, I’m more worried about whether Jimmy’s ego could allow him to embrace the less glamorous Jrue Holiday role that’d be ideal for him here especially as his athleticism wanes.

He seems to want to do it between Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, if the Bucks show him the money then I don't see why he wouldn't here. I think he's a perfect compliment to Dame and Giannis, we need hardnosed defender and some balls on this team we've been lacking since PJ. Literally no one else comes close to providing these intangibles, we need high IQ defensive minded glue players not the total opposite. Trading for guys to go ahead of AJ Green and Gary Trent Jr doesn't make sense, those guys make essentially nothing and the difference isn't $40-50M between these guy's production. If they're not a better defender than AJ Green then **** off.

scream it from the rooftops people D-FENCE

Khris is 8/34 from 3 in the last 10 games he’s played. His stats aren’t very solid at all. He had that good “Khrismas” stretch and that’s about it.

Or does Jimmy just want the money?

He could be a perfect compliment on both the Suns and Bucks if he were to embrace being a superstar version of PJ that makes others better offensively but will he actually do that is very much TBD.

Maybe the Heat aren’t Middleton’s final destination.

Toronto reportedly is looking to be a part of a deal. Not sure what draft assets they’d require to facilitate but they could.

Sample scenario punting on guessing the picks:

Bucks trade: Khris, Bobby, Pat (via MLE)
Bucks receive: Jimmy (or LaVine in a more complicated deal)

Raptors trade: Bruce Brown, Chris Boucher
Raptors receive: Khris, Pat (via MLE)

Heat trade: Jimmy
Heat receive: Bruce Brown, Chris Boucher, Bobby

so that's one stat. his shooting has come and gone but he's definitely had a positive impact on the game in a variety of ways, namely playmaking, and his defensive lebron rating is average for his role. that's a winning player.

but if you're right, and his stock is bottom barrel, there's no way you trade him right now unless you're convinced that he will never recover.

Something of this pattern may be the best for the Bucks.

The other option is to stick with what we have. Try to see also if Tyler Smith has a potential as a sf to be a part of our rotation.

Khris isn’t traded for Butler because of his performance, it’s because Miami needs to trade Jimmy and Khris is one of the few contracts available to make it happen. Yes, Khris can still contribute and help them get to the playoffs like they want, but it’s not a talent level trade. I doubt last night changes much.

Butler always wants paid but I can’t even say I blame him. Bulls gave Zach Lavine his money and Philly gave Tobias Harris his money. Jimmy signed his 1st max deal in 2019 with Miami and look what he did for them the last 5ish seasons? He’s never been the highest paid player on his team before Miami and now he wants to stay for big dollars and Pat Riley doesn’t want the headache. I’m not saying Butler isn’t a strong personality and can’t be a massive problem in the locker room, he’s proven that too but he wants his money and he wants paid like the other % of max players in this league. It’s the leagues fault more than Jimmys if you ask me, all these dumb GMs and owners throw money around like morons. Getting paid has become more about timing than maximum production.

I’m not advocating either way but I’m 1 of the believers that if Butler gets traded and gets his money, it won’t be any sort of Disney magic when his new team starts trending upward.

Matisse Thybulle?

Last trade deadline everyone loved him. Now Camara is around and it’s all anyone wants to talk about.

He hasn't played yet this year. If he can come back and the price is right, would love to add him.

JayMKE wrote:Jimmy actually works on the court and and is a winner unlike the career overpaid losers like Beal or LaVine. Bucks should ONLY be interested in guys who play tough defense and create for others/play off the ball, last thing the team needs is any more chuckers or ball pounders.

Jimmy doesn’t like the way Miami is playing him. He wants to be a ball pounder.
