When the Raptors rookies get sent down, they have a bunch of mentors that know how to play the game & can run the offensive & defensive schemes effectively. The young guys can integrate into the lineup & effectively learn how to be part of a functional team. They can also pick these guys brains, as many of them are further ahead in regards to learning how to be an NBA pro.
It certainly beats sending our top.prospects down to play with a dysfunctional team or play with a bunch of kids that don't know any more about the game than they do.

These are pretty impressive, Mogbo is a top tier athlete.
He's being used as a point of attack defender with the 905 which is nice to see and we will see how everything translates over later in the season when minutes open up.

Based on the videos, they are all (different kinds of) dunks. I would rather him trying a layup instead of a dunk. Dunking the basketball is the least of Mogbo's worries

Good point. They mentioned on one of the broadcasts a few games ago that Kaminsky and Chomche in particular have been working together a lot, even though they are very different kinds of bigs.
Earlier in the season I was really hoping that Shead could get a lot of 905 time so that Chomche could learn to work with a good point guard that will put him in the right spots and help feed him when he plays correctly (I'm not convinced that either Lawson or Chandler are very good at that). But the type of big-to-big mentorship that he's receiving from Kaminsky is just as important.

I love the idea of having 4-5 NBA vets in the g-leauge just to be mentors.
Mostly guys who were offensive players but to slow to be good defenders. At least they could teach them good offensive habits and then defensively be like "be more athletic than I was lol"

It would be good if they could give NBA veterans decent GLeague contracts & make it more attractive to play there. It would prolong their careers, allow them to mentor the young guys & increase the quality of basketball in the GLeague.
There was a pretty big turnout in Laval & they got to see two games where quality teams were battling it out.
The announcers kept talking about how much experience there is on the 905 & how it's not something you typically see on a GLeague team.
