Like how Brady isn't the best QB to ever play the game by raw talent, but he's still the greatest due to accomplishments.

Right, he’s not the greatest blocker but does give effort. Here’s proof.

lol my grandma would look good in a highlight package. Kelce is an amazing receiver but he isnt asked to block like traditional tight ends such as Gronk or Kittle. In essence Kelce, Gonzalez, Andrews are just big receivers rather than tight ends...

Gronkowski averaged a career pass-blocking grade of 69.2 and a run-blocking grade of 71.4. Kelce, on the other hand, has averaged a pass-blocking grade of 65.5 and a run-blocking grade of 66.7.

PERCENTAGE OF CAREER OFFENSIVE SNAPS BY POSITIONAL ALIGNMENT
GRONKOWSKI
In-line TE: 60%
Slot receiver: 29.8%
Wide receiver: 8.8%

KELCE
In-line TE: 46.6%
Slot receiver: 30.8%
Wide receiver: 21.3%

Gronkowski also averaged 23 run-blocking snaps per game to go along with five pass-blocking snaps, whereas Kelce has averaged 18 and two, respectively. Moreover, for his career, Gronkowski was asked to block on 47.2% of his offensive snaps, with Kelce thus far doing so on 36.4%.

Kelce’s career-high for pass-blocking snaps is 59, which he set in 2015. Gronkowski had seven seasons in which he saw at least 59 pass-blocking snaps. Kelce’s career-high for run-blocking snaps is 359; Gronkowski beat that number four times, including 429 in 2011, a season that also saw him post 1,327 yards and an NFL-high 17 touchdown receptions.

I hope for Taylor's sake she doesn't do anything to upset him...

He is. Gronk couldn't stay healthy enough in his prime or it could have been him. But Kelce is just on another level in the passing game from even Gronk.

Now that Kelce has tied and or broken almost all of Jerry Rice's playoff records, thought this is a good time to bring this thread back one more time.

Peak vs peak, no question I'd take Gronk. As big of a weapon in the passing game, but was a million times better as a blocker. Legit won games even as an old man with his blocking.

For career, it's Kelce, because of longevity.

I agree with Gronk but how can you take Kelce over Antonio Gates on longevity?

Gates has 116 TD compared to Kelce's 77.

I don't know, Kelce has more catches and more yards. I think Kelce has more top-end seasons than Gates.

Barely. Meanwhile the difference in TD passes is substantial.

If we're talking top-end seasons nobody beats Gronk.

Kelce has the most All-Pro seasons of the three. I agree that Gronk the best seasons.

Kelce also has the best numbers playoff wise cumulatively speaking. Yes a lot of that is the result of the teams and QB he got to play for, but it still matters.
