We should wait and see in regards to Nurk who was looking great for half a season last year. Nick is not better than Ayton, but much cheaper.

Ayton giving 80% effort is better than both combined.

Dude I wouldnt be motivated in Portland either. That city and town will drain you. Homeless people everywhere, robberies, trash, etc.

Ayton don't want to be there. I hope he gets traded as well. I would love to see him on a good team with some motivation.

Blazers have about 100 fans.

Haha . Maybe he can give us every other game he can do well. I say keep him off the bench.

I think we somehow need to get Nurkic and 2031 first (top 15 protected) for Vucevic

as always you don’t know what you’re talking about. Blazers have really great fans, 10x better than Phoenix that’s for sure. Not much of a bar though.

So far so good.

In 4 games he averages 13.3 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. His rebounding was much needed for this team.

Pleasantly happy with this pickup. I don't think he's a world beater and ideally he's your backup 5 but there is no doubt he is an NBA player, that's not something we had at the 5 this season prior to this pickup.

Thought Javale McGee would be his best case scenario and is doing it.

I calculated if our rebounding was at the NBA average percentage wed get 3 extra posessions.

The guy is a solid 5 which is exactly what you're hoping to get for moving a 2nd rounder. I think he's been nothing short of as advertised and then some. I don't know if it'll hold up but he's come in and basically been a Nurk level rebounder which should help our rebounding woes but looking at the stats over the last 4 games (small sample), we've made in-roads in our total rebounding deficits however offensive rebounding (for us and for the opponents) are still a real weak spot for us.

This is not an issue a singular player can solve. This is roster composition issue.

They're 12th in opponent OREB% since the trade, as opposed to the dead last they were from the Nurk suspension to the trade, so that bodes well. Can they keep it up against real teams?
