4way deal - Lakers, Heat, Bulls, Suns

Post#1 » by louc1970 » Mon Jan 27, 2025 8:14 pm

Not sure why, but it seems the Bulls are interested in Beal. Maybe it is because it comes with picks(?).
Anyway:

Suns trade Beal, 3 FRPs
Suns receive Butler
Butler wants to be there. Suns role the dice. All the same reasons everyone has had.

Chicago trades Ball, Vucevic
Bulls receive Beal, 2 FRPS from Suns (the most current)
Bulls team LaVine with Beal. Not sure why Bulls want him, but rumors are abound.

Lakers trade JHS, Hachimura, 29 FRP
Lakers receive Vucevic
Lakers get a center to bang while allowing AD to move to the PF spot.

Heat trade Butler
Heat receive JHS, Hachimura, Ball, the Lakers 29 FRP and the least favorable of the Suns FRPs.
Heat make the trade for lesser quality players but get 2 distant picks. Payroll drops to $160 next year. No long term salary in the trade.

Two first round picks and a look at Lonzo Ball works for me.

We arent giving up a 29 1st and Rui for Vuc, sorry

He is a very bad defender

Its Rui and 1-2 2nds or a protected swap at most

Bulls are getting the younger player here

That "report" on Bulls interest in Beal was bad aggregation. But taking on Beal and giving up Vuc and only getting two worst of firsts? Yeah this should die with Chicago before the Lakers kill the deal for having to give up an unprotected pick for Vuc.

This deal needs more value to Chicago and less from LA and Phoenix has very little left to give which would leave Miami with just salary relief which probably isn't enough.

I don't really know how to salvage this without one or more teams taking a really bad deal.

I'd be surprised if Chicago took Beal without sending out Lavine. I don't know Miami would consider Hachimura + Ball guys who help MIami's playoff push. One or both of those guys might need to be shipped to a 5th team.

No the Bulls are not going to put Beal and Lavine for $93M and escalating in their back court for the next 3 years. Maybe for 2 FRP's EVERY YEAR for those next 3 years

This is horrendous

If the Lakers were willing make their part of this deal than Chicago would just take that and run. The Lakers 1st is at least as valuable as the 2 late 1sts Chicago is getting from Phoenix and they'd obviously prefer Ball, Rui, JHS to Beal. That's an enormous difference in value = even ignoring that the fit of Beal with LaVine is as bad as Beal with Booker.

Might as well throw the two pics at my boy Kessler a 23 year old defensive big.

Vuc is good but I'm not throwing a pic for him

To be fair to Evan the Aggregator, he has tripled down on that rumor at this point without the credit to Windy. If I were to guess I don’t see Beal or Butler getting moved but we shall see.

Yup, no 1sts moving unless its for a young player or a very good 2 way guy like Turner

Unless its a lotto protected 1st that becomes a protected swap/2nds

If its for meh guys, then its 2nds/swaps and salaries or a lotto protected 1st that becomes 2nd/2nds

Butler isn't fetching anything for Miami after the s***-show they've put on together.

The Bulls ship has left the harbor and Beal is still on the dock.
