If Schotty doesn't get the Cowboys job, then it's very possible he lands in Vegas. But I would put my money on Bevell before the other two. He's currently the QB coach of the Dolphins.

As a USC fan - I am a BIG Pete fan. I could have been fine with him here and hope he can help get the Raiders back on the right track.

And honestly - at this point knowing the Cowboys (I.e.; Jerry) the way I do from 30 years of his crap, I can be convinced that Brian should be hired. Whoever comes in here does so knowing the salary cap is a complete mess and there is no “quick fix” (like FA signings). I have no doubt Schottenheimer understands that.

Well, I guess the Raiders are my AFC team.

Yeah, Schotty will be fine as a HC.

And - an intriguing OC just hit the market.

I’d be REAL interested in Bobby Slowik.

I’m OK with this one. Clearly not HC material but he can coach defense.

I did not sit through the Jerry / Stephen / Brian presser. I’m working but even if I weren’t I just can’t muster the effort it takes to fight through Jerry talk.

Sounds like the usual stuff.

Listening to those who listened to it. I believe you're right.

Schotty needs to loosen up a little bit.

Btw did anyone see Jerry's cameo in Landman? He actually gave a pretty good performance.

I’m 2 episodes in. I’ve heard the same thing. So I’ll get there… probably this week.

I haven’t seen the show yet but I did see his scene. That wasn’t acting. He’s legit talking about his relationship with his own kids.

The only thing I have faith in for next season, is that it will go better than this season did. It would be pretty difficult for it to get worse because it's basically impossible for our defense to be worse and our starting QB was injured.

But I have zero faith that we can go deep in the playoffs.

We basically need the same old - same old offense. Dak to Lamb. "Decent" offense. But a complete and total 180 on defense. Going from worst in the NFL to best in the NFL. Highly highly unlikely. But maybe we can at least take a step toward that. We need to draft an elite defender.

I actually feel sorry for Schotty. The Jones’ have put him in an impossible situation. I mean I’m happy for the guy that he finally got a chance but he’s coaching a capped out team that cant’s/won’t spend money. He’s basically a hold over coach until they get out of cap hell. He’s Dave Campo.

Ngl this is a pretty underwhelming hire. He was on Carroll's staff for a bit as well. He's bounced around as an assistant/coordinator.

He will run Special Teams in Dallas and not the defense. I believe Sorensen’s last Special Teams team he coached ranked 31st in the NFL.

I’m convinced that the Jones have absolutely lost their collective minds or they are preparing to take for Arch Manning.
