Cam Payne and Landry have the highest net rating on the team, they have been available to play for weeks, you said it's about the bench getting healthy

Payne has been one of the most productive bench players on a minute basis all season. You need to tighten up, you looking crazy out here bro. You lived and breathed that bench sucks mantra, now you gotta try and use the same stats you were disavowing to try and prove a point. Everybody can see the rotation expanded, you can't

Bridges isn't playing 40mpg all of a sudden and looks like a demon on defense, what a shocker.

So Cam Payne and Landry Shamet are our best players now

This is where I stopped reading, you're like a twitter troll / bot that can only take 1 thing out of context and form a completely different argument around it.

Reading comprehension would help, I said highest net rating, I didn't say best. But, to try and save face you need to apply a word I didn't say. Guan0 is right, yall are like flat earthers.

Then what does highest net rating even mean? This is what you do, use numbers to make a point then backtrack your point because it doesn’t fit the false narrative you are trying to run with. You like to use net rating to show who is the best, whether that’s players or teams but now you don’t want to because you know it sounds stupid when talking about Cam Payne and Landry Shamet. And you expect me to take you seriously instead of just laughing at you.

You are trying to Stinkilikina plus minus this thing and it ain’t going to work you know that doesn’t fly with me

But damn Grizz coach got destroyed tonight. Schemes and rotations and all that out the window huh?

Grizz coach broke your heart but you have to learn not to worship these false idols

Cam Payne and Landry have the highest net rating on the team, they have been available to play for weeks, you said it's about the bench getting healthy

Payne has been one of the most productive bench players on a minute basis all season. You need to tighten up, you looking crazy out here bro. So Cam Payne and Landry Shamet are our best players now  The audacity to call me crazy. It’s always the wackos calling others crazy

What minutes bump have either gotten? They still play the same amount of minutes they have all year. So nothing changed besides the three guard bench lineup is finally available to play together.

And Mikal having good stretches is nothing new. He had a great month of December so it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. Players go through good and bad stretches so nothing new there.

Team has built up chemistry now and the home games certainly help. No long west coast road trips or back to backs so that has certainly played a role.

But I love how you aren’t even attempting to defend the Grizz coach. You just gonna leave him out to dry like that damn. No comment about his schemes or rotations. Damn

Huh???
The season averages minutes wise for the Bench:
Precious - 18.7
Cam - 14.5
Deuce - 22.6
Shamet - 11.1

Tonight, minutes wise the bench played
Precious - 20
Cam - 16
Deuce - 24
Shamet - 12

By actually allowing this slight bump in minutes per player, it actually decreased the amount of time the starters had to play because it allowed them to be fresher, thus pouring on in a blowout. With that, you were then able to even let the 3rd stringers play, which further decreased the starters minutes even more. It’s a trickle down effect.

Even slight increases in bench minutes actually have an exponential benefit for the starters’ longevity

Damn he ran from his own argument. That’s been your whole argument up until Cam Payne and Landry Shamet. I guess you finally realized how dumb your net rating argument really is.

But Grizz coach got smoked tonight and still no word from his worshiper. I guess you are going through a lot right now. I’ll leave you to yourself to reflect

It means we don't get Tmac'ed just because bench players are on the court. We can play those guys and maintain leads.

Make it bold can’t see too small. Nope didn’t believe in Brunson, never had reason to based on past track records. Always said needed to see it before buying in. Been right too many times to care about being wrong about Brunson. Another credit to Thibs for turning him into a star player, he never was one until he got to New York. I still have my reservations about how far you can go with him because of how terrible he is defensively and his overall style of dominating the ball and not being able to do certain things under a pressing defense. Still I’m happy to have him now because we’ve had way too many terrible PGs in the past.

But you are still deflecting and running from the actual convo right now which only shows defeat. It’s your coping mechanism and I got you to this point. 8-)

You said they played their season’s average, they didn’t

Even the starters minutes showed a significant decrease. The average minutes per game for the starters on the year according to stat muse is:
KAT - 34.9
OG - 36.7
Hart - 37.9
Brunson - 35.5
Mikal - 38.5

Tonight the starters played minute wise
KAT - 33
OG - 34
Hart - 27
Brunson - 25
Mikal - 34

These 2-4 minute decreases for KAT, OG and Mikal seem small to you, but had they averaged just two less minutes per game this season each, this would equate to 1600 total minutes less over the course of the season total for all 3 of them. Guess how many games extra that is? 533 extra minutes saved per player, meaning roughly 16 more games if each player plays 33 minutes per game. What’s 16 more games??? THE PLAYOFFS. THESE SMALL MINUTE INCREMENTS MATTER BY PLAYING THE BENCH

Now let me not get started on Brunson and hart, they were able to SIGNIFICANTLY decrease their minutes tonight. The point is 2-4 minute increase in each bench players’ time actually matters in the long run.

I can’t break it down any better than I just did.

It's not some awesome prediction. Tall guys with bad feet winding up done happens in the NBA often enough.
Hope the feeling is as wrong as my loss predictions.

Brunson - 25
Mikal - 34

These 2-4 minute decreases for KAT, OG and Mikal seem small to you, but had they averaged just two less minutes per game this season each, this would equate to 1600 total minutes over the course of the season total for all 3 of them.

Brunson's minutes only limited because the refs put him in foul trouble
Harts only limited because he was hurt coming into the game.
Thibs will go back to same minutes next game

You said they played their season’s average, they didn’t

Even the starters minutes showed a significant decrease. The average minutes per game for the starters on the year according to stat muse is:
KAT - 34.9
OG - 36.7
Hart - 37.9
Brunson - 35.5
Mikal - 38.5

Tonight the starters played minute wise
KAT - 33
OG - 34
Hart - 27
Brunson - 25
Mikal - 34

You know we won by 37, right?

Why? Why did we win by 37? And not 27, or 17, or 7????… BECAUSE WE PLAYED THE BENCH MORE, who added on to the starters’ leads, then brought the starters back, who added on to the bench’s lead :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The 4 guys off the bench were never healthy together until just recently so nobody who was available got added to the rotation. It was always the same. They all got the exact opportunities they always had when they were healthy and available. Nothing changed except they just got healthy.

But this isn’t even your bench, your bench is the rookies that you kept crying about.

Anyway I’m sure deep down you were angry the Grizz coach lost to Thibs. But we eating good tonight though

Achiuwa 20 mins
Payne 16 mins
Deuce 24 mins
Shamet 12 mins

Now go look up their season average mins per game

Grizz coach broke your heart but you have to learn not to worship these false idols

Their season averages are skewed by Thibs running a 7-8 man rotation. Sometimes it was because of injuries and him not wanting to play the young guys though he could have. Sometimes he had everyone available and still ran a short rotation.

It was just a week ago he DNP'd Shamet and played Payne 1 half against the Sixers with the tallest guy on court for the Sixers being George most of the game and a bench none of us has ever heard of. He played 4 of the starters 43-50 minutes that game. KAT was out which would explain the addition of Sims to the rotation and the expansion of Precious minutes but doesn't explain his handling of Payne and Shamet that game. Can you explain it?

Playing a 9 man rotation with all 9 guys playing both halves and significant minutes is new. Thibs playing an 8 man rotation with all 8 players playing both halves and significant minutes is a pretty big accomplishment for him too. There have been plenty of games where the 7th, 8th or 9th guy doesn't make the cut in the 2nd half.

Honestly I don't even know if it is the reason they played so well tonight. Maybe the Grizzlies are just a good matchup for the Knicks. I don't know. I'm just glad Thibs is trying something different instead of being as stubborn as you are :D
