Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas - Giannis Thoughts on Middleton Trade Page 90

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Tue Jan 28, 2025 4:57 am

We're going to blow past the limit in the other thread until the deadline so we'll start up a new one.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Trade Mids for Jokic.
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

If the Bucks trade Mids, prepare for the media to (finally) laud Khris as one of the great SFs of his era, and talk about how Giannis has less of a reason to stay in Milwaukee.

Make whatever move gives them a chance to win it this year for Voodoo.

If Midds can play tomorrow and look good again, Midds/Portis/Buck 2031 1st lottery protected that becomes 2031 2nd if not conveyed to Miami
PatC/Miami 2nd to Detroit
Butler/worst of Detroits 2027 2nd (theirs and Brooklyn or Dallas)

Also, prepare for Giannis actually leaving.

Similar proposal in the last thread, but intrigued. Picks where needed, be it our '31 1st broken into multiple "lesser" 1sts from OKC to BKN, etc.

MKE: Cam Johnson, Isaiah Stewart, Aaron Wiggins
OKC: Bobby Portis
BKN: Tim Hardaway Jr, Delon Wright
DET: Khris Middleton, Pat Connaughton, MarJon Beauchamp

Lillard / Rollins
Green / Trent / Jackson
Johnson / Wiggins
Giannis / Prince
Lopez / Stewart

Maybe VooDoo can out his source now. He’s in the hall of fame around here for calling his shot there. Kept me sane for sure.

Haha, I would if I could. Trust me. Although I'm sure there's still plenty here that think I'm full of ****.

I appreciate all your guys' kind and encouraging words. It means a lot. This place has meant more to me than I could ever express. The Winning Takes Balls movement was absolutely magic.

Again, I'm really sorry for high-jacking the thread. Definitely not my intent. Now back to our regularly scheduled program...

Brother there is nothing but love for a fellow Bucks fan despite any disagreements. Keep searching, whether it’s ivermectin or something else worth trying. If Dirk Benedict “Starbuck” can do it you can too!

I am prepared for a Pat C trade only…I just don’t see Midds moving. I’m not saying he shouldn’t be moved, I just don’t see it. Contract, health, and Giannis

It wouldn't be very exciting but it would be far from the worst possible outcome.

Still need the athletic backup big and a starting SG that can score a little and play some defense. Maybe Jimmy Butler is part of that solution, but still need the big.

I think it's awesome for Detroit. They actually want to win now, and they get out of that Beef Stew contract. I think Stew sucks.

It just takes 1 team to value Middleton as a Toni Kukoc (as opposed to “body completely shot Robert Horry”) for him to have significant trade value.

Yeah he’s overpaid but in this cap era having salary slots to fit the players you are seeking is critical.

The bigger consideration is the short time frame where you have him for the playoff push and then next season in his contract year, then cap space — or an enticing piece for your own trade package.

Windhorst - Heat willing to take less to get deal done.

Still kind of like this. Opens a roster spot for Rollins and could add Nassir Little (former teammate of Dame and Trent). Gives us depth behind Lopez and more ball movement/smart passing off the bench in Zach (also former teammate of Dame and Trent). Plus another wing that can shoot under contract for cheap for a few years

Bucks fans have always been way harder on Khris than anybody else, I don’t buy he doesn’t have value when almost all these other guys have availability issues. There are guys way more cooked than Khris with way more serious injuries, guys who have never won or with character issues.

Also stay strong voodoo, bucks board is like family. Will pray for you.

Was once a pretty big fan of Collins. Whether from injury or not developing, dude sucks.

Now until the deadline, with each passing game, the discourse surrounding Khris will be turned up a notch. If he has a bad game, he sucks. If he has a good one, he’s untouchable. It’s hard not to do that when we all have trade fever this time of the year.

If we keep Khris and make a deep playoff run, I’ll gladly eat crow and say how not trading him was the right move.

I don’t think there’s a high probability of that happening, but I hope I’m wrong. I would rather feel more confident going into a playoff run though, which is why I think we should look at moving him for the right piece.

Khris is still a good player but is he a good enough player to surround Giannis and Dame in this current 1-2 year window. That will be answered by what we do before the deadline and in the coming months leading up to the playoffs, whether we keep him or not.

I'd also keep an eye on GS as a potential trade partner. They'd probably like to add a big and Middleton to maximize their Curry window.
