There is NO WAY any of the other 29 HCs of the NBA would have Stone feet Luke Kornet out there, not just once but 2X on defense for the last 2 possessions. NONE Especially after Luke gets blown by after the first possession.

Not even Doc Rivers would do that.

Assuming the coach would manage his rotations in a finals series game in the same way is frankly ridiculous.

Secondly, bench players are highly unlikely to improve their decision making if you leave them on the bench at the end of tight regular season games.

We have much to improve, but the primary goal at this is to make the finals in one piece and to improve the depth of our bench by exposing all players to meaningful minutes.

Let the other 29 head coaches focus on winning regular season games. I'm hoping JM is focussed on winning the finals.

It's the regular season.
Luke may be a major piece in the playoffs, if Kristaps is injured and Horfie keeps looking like he is toasted.
The double big lineup is not here to stay, it's another strategy nedded to be developed before the playoff starts as we may need it further down the road.

I am more concerned about Tatum. The guy looks like a glorified Jerami Grant out there...

In last QT JB was god awful again on both sides of the court.Luke was like chicken without head on does last two inbound plays.

That’s why he was benched in the olympics, he was the worst shooter in that team that includes Bam and Jrue. Shot poorly in the playoffs, shot poorly in the olumpics, and now this season. He needs to effin change his shot/stroke. Not working anymore.

His stroke looks good to me, the bigger problem is shot quality… having JT receive a screen 25 ft from the hoop and step into a pull-up 3PTA over a center, what is the expected success rate with this approach? We’re running offense to get a contested 3 with Steven Adams literally on top of him? can we maybe get some better looks than this?

Dude is a chuckster that ain’t really good at it. He bricks every forced 3’s he’s attempted this season. The ones he makes at a high rate, are wide open, not forced 3’s. Maybe its his shot selection and overall bbiq that’s the problem.
Plus, his stroke is flawed. He needs to cock it up from his waist. Not a free flowing shot. That’s why he can’t just go straight up for a shot. If he does that, he misses badly.

When JB tries to go through 2 or 3 defenders and ends up losing the ball, that's on JB, not Joe.

And yes, we already saw Adrian Griffin get fired because the players asked management to fire the coach.
