Was looking for the video which no one decided to share so here it is

https://www.si.com/high-school/california-high-school-basketball-brothers-set-102-point-35-assist-single-game-records-video-01jjbg01qc82

Doesn't look like egregious stat padding or ball hogging, the other team was just clearly outmatched.

But why are there so many salty adults in this thread lol. Clearly it was a meaningless hs game against a trash team, he wanted to score 100 because he could, who cares

Honestly, if I'm part of the other team I'm either:

A) Refusing to play or just sitting down on the court while this clown team does its thing
B) Clobbering one of them when they go up for a shot, or are running back from a shot
C) Actively helping them by giving them the ball when they score

Whatever it takes to highlight the fact that this is an absolute joke.

Doesn't look like egregious stat padding or ball hogging,

Yeah, a guy taking 48 of 72 of the team's field goals isn't egregious ball hogging at all.

Lol, it's such a sad game, other team didn't know what transition defense was, everytime he missed a layup he seemed to get his own offensive rebound, the few shots they showed from the other team was like over the backboard, airballs and terrible for,

He scored their first 38 points, looks like they just has him leaking out every time, sometimes he was already past half court not playing defense and just waiting for the other team to brick whatever terrible shot they would throw up.

I don't know if I've seen someone make that many layups so easily in a game. Also the other team was better off just having whomever brought the ball up shoot than passing at all because they just telegraphed passes everywhere.

As long as the players on the 0-9 team are having fun and getting their cardio in, more power to them.

Obviously the reality is that the team shouldn't be in any sort of competitive high school division, but it is what it is.

Watch the video. Most of his shot attempts came from transition leak outs where he was wide open. They were in the flow of the game.

Yeah if there's anyone to blame, it's the 0-9 school for fielding such a sad team and subjecting their players to play against a vastly superior school. This is what they signed up for

Their average margin of defeat is probably like 70

Seems as though this isn't really as impressive as it's been made out to be.
