as happy as i am that he’s no longer on our team it’s still depressing to think that this was how it ended.

our current team with KAT has a higher ceiling and is getting more fun to watch game by game but imo we still haven’t reached the heights of euphoria that we had with the way that unit was clicking before he got injured.

This team is better, they have more ways to beat you, and realistically the only player we really miss is IHart. If you look at everyone we've had, he's the only one that has helped his new team win, the Thunder are 22-2 when he plays.

i don’t miss him or necessarily disagree with anything you said. it’s just sad how it ended. it might’ve been for the best though because another one of his classic playoff performances and we might not have even been able to offer him for KAT

iHart was more critical to our success than Randle last year.

iHart had a significantly higher season EPM than Randle last year. So did KAT, by a slighter margin, even while playing out of position.

But you don't need advanced impact metrics to see this. The team results this year corroborate it.

- Minnesota got significantly worse after trading KAT for Randle (with no other personnel change affecting team performance).

- OKC got significantly better after acquiring iHart (when he plays).

- The Knicks have suffered the loss of their two centers (both of whom mattered more than Randle) but were able to mitigate the loss by the significant advantage gained from swapping Randle for KAT.

Everything adds up.

I wish we could have seen it play out. That shoulder hack was a real downer.

Did EPM also have iHart as our second most impactful player? He was a huge loss.

The shoulder hack was a downer. Randle's a solid player who would've helped us against Indiana.

The season EPM (not predictive) rankings last year were:

1. Brunson

2. iHart

3. OG

4. Randle
5. DiVo

6. Mitch
7. Josh (surprisingly)

I wish someone would get around to terrorizing America so we could all pretend to like each other again.

Say Randle doesn't hurt his shoulder, we beat Sixers and Pacers, and take Boston to six. Does Leon still make the same trades this summer?

I think KAT and Bridges were always on the radar.
At least one would have been acquired. Not sure about both.
