They got their title so it was worth it but the "how could the Bucks trade Jrue" narratives from last season are looking hilarious right now. This board would be at Defcon 1 if we kept him and signed him to that extension.

Celtics having the same record as us last season through 47-games is pretty wild. Jrue might honestly be more cooked than Khris, he's just more available. Think it was the Lakers game, but I could barely recognize him out there. He's basically just Alex Caruso on a max contract at this point.

Even last year, we wouldn't have been great with him.

This is what everyone left out of the calculus on the trade last year, Jrue was getting a max extension or retiring.

Boston’s last minute defense somehow worse than ours.
Why was Kornet out there on defense on that last play?

Rich Paul gonna Rich Paul FTW!
Vivek and the Kings really stepped in it here.
I wonder what changed where Klutch decided to go to the mattresses a week before the deadline after the team turned it around under Coach Christie.

I'll be interested to see where he goes. Kings have been playing well so it seems weird, but I noticed he's a FA after next season so I'm guessing he let them know he's not resigning.
ETA: There's a lot of signal out there that he wants to go to San Antonio.

Fox isn't getting traded. Kings are 2-games back from the 6-seed and there's zero urgency to move him now when he's not a FA until 2026.

Fox with Houston would make them a championship level squad but they would still have shooting issues. However, their athleticism and defensive skills etc 1-4 would be amazing. They have enough picks and salary levels to probably get Monk and Fox while taking on Huerter's contract. Houston could send Sac Reed, Whittmore, FVV, Eason, and 5 to 6 1sts and still have enough future picks to balance their future plans. The issue would be Houston willingness to pay the 2nd apron in the future and if Sac really thinks Fox will leave in the future. Even if he stays they are not sniffing a championship over OKC, HOU, MEM, DAL, and DEN.

Okay then I guess pack it up everyone, no need to discuss this anymore. Don't mind the reporting that literally just said they're going to at least look into the idea of trading him.

I think Houston is one of those classic over achieving young teams, but I fully expect them to lose in the 1st round. If they traded for Fox I also expect them to lose in the 1st round.
They’re a team that’s poised to be competitive if one of their young players miraculously turns into a #1 option, or if they can acquire one. Fox is pretty far from #1, though.

A Wemby Fox pairing could be fun.
You just know Pat Riley is sniffing around and trying to call in some favors to get Fox on the cheap. Don't let him win.

Well it was an inane post
credible reporting: "The Kings are going to open up trade talks on Fox"
You: "Fox isn't getting traded"
Ok?

Naturally it's only my opinion on a message board every time I post and am not literally saying that I have inside knowledge that he 100% isn't getting traded before the deadline. I'd be stunned if he was traded before the deadline because of obvious reasons that I already outlined, and that this is likely entirely coming from Rich Paul/Klutch as a means to vent Fox's desire to move on in free agency when his contract is up and his dissatisfaction with Sacramento and/or the organization. There, is that sufficiently better?

It's going to be a long 9 days
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
