Looks like someone else like the Boucher idea too.

Agbaji has been pretty solid with the Raptors. I suspect he might be tough to get added. Would absolutely love to get that done.
My personal preference would be for Altman to pull a Billy Bean and trade Niang so Kenny can't play him anymore.

Not trade rumors but buyout rumors. I know jbk is going to die when he hears these targets lol
I'd actually take both guys. Just need to clear 1 roster spot.

I think Ball ends up in L.A. if he gets bought out (which would surprise me as he has trade value). The Nets don't want to take back future money so I could see Simmons getting bought out. I wouldn't hate it, but I'd really prefer a trade for Boucher that gets you know who out the door.

Seems it would be a move to dodge the tax line, more than anything else bc he is 6'5" and could also be left alone from the outside.

Yeah, I don't get this on-court unless Okoro's shoulder is going to affect him through the playoffs. It's a tax dodge, but I think the Cavs have easier ways to do that.

Re: Trade Ideas
Would a package around Daniel Gafford for LeVert work? I believe we duck the tax with the trade and get a back-up C. With the departure of Luka and if Mavs are still trying to compete, they'll need a ballhandler

I'm assuming Dallas wants to start Gafford next to AD.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I don't know why people assume they wouldn't start Lively and replicate what the Cavs have.

I would think that, but I'm just wondering how long he'll be out.

The Cavs should be looking to trade Okoro. Maybe a back up Center and a 2nd round draft pick. Don't really want to disrupt the chemistry of this team and overpay for any player in any trade. Take it up to 2/6 and see if the Cavs can piggyback on any of these blockbuster trades. Be an opportunist if it comes the Cavs way but don't force a trade and overpay.

Okoro is certainly available, but he's definitely a guy who can stay on the floor in the playoffs due to his ability to defend. If the rumors are to be believed, multiple teams are presently calling on LeVert.

Levert is a key player for the Cavs imo. The Cavs need Levert if they are to be a legit contender in the playoffs.

He's a jack of all trades, master of none type player who has the occasional black swan game where he goes for a lot. I have Strus and Wade as more important to our post season success and probably Jerome as well. I'm fine keeping Levert, but I don't know that they'll pay more than the MLE to retain him.

Levert is a creator with the ball in his hands and can breakdown the defense. These other players mentioned cannot do that. Strus is not much of a creator. Wade definitely not a creator.

I'm guessing you have not watched much of Ty Jerome?

Wrong you are, one of big reasons the Cavs are successful is because they have more creators than before who can breakdown the defense and create scoring opportunities. You can never have enough of those players.

Re: Trade Ideas
It's going to be tricky judging our players based on what they've done in this new system for half a season .vs. what they've done in the past. I also wonder what other GM's are thinking, because the value of our players could be rising unless they're just seen as benefiting from the new system/circumstances.
The Spurs for instance got a reputation for their players playing a lot better for them then their trading partners.
