Yeah, why pretend SA is only a piece away when they are four or five pieces away. Can you assemble those pieces in four years as you pay Fox the max? I'd rather keep Castle and see what develops for cheap, and have some room for a couple pieces.

Rockets and Sprs have the assets and motivation to get a player like Fox. Both are rising teams with a ton of assets. I like him more in San Antonio, i would wait to see what the rockets have with Amen before picking a player like Fox.

Amen would still be starting at a forward spot if the Rockets decide to bring in Fox. Either VanVleet or Jalen Green would be part of the trade.

As a Rockets’ fan, I do agree the Spurs have more motivation to deal because they need a Wemby complement. But, that also has me hoping Stone gets involved. I don’t want Fox joining Wemby in San Antonio.

I was hoping the Rockets revisit the trade talks in the offseason, but they might have to do it to avoid him going to the Spurs. Both the Mavs and Spurs have their star and we dont. You cant allow your in state rivals to get better at all cost.

i might argue that Amen could be that star

Crazy that King's beat reporter is saying Fox's preferred destination is SA. Not used to anyone wanting to play here but I guess it's the Wemby effect  guess Fox realizes playing next to Victor might make it easier for him to make an all-NBA team

If I'm SA, everyone is available sans Wemby. I'd prefer to keep Castle and Sochan but Fox is a damn good player and seems he would be suited as a Robin and would be a great compliment for Wemby. So many games we could have won this season already if Spurs had just one other legit scoring option besides Victor

Get it done Brian!!!

Will likely cost us one of Castle or Vassell unfortunately. I'm leaning towards Vassell, who is a much better fit alongside Sabonis due to his shooting/scoring ability. But Castle just turned 20 and is already a consistent jump-shot away from being an All-Star caliber player, so they may value his upside instead.

Sprs are likely too good to really tank (unless they sit Wemby for an extended period)

Yea Wemby raises the floor of this team too much to tank. Without him it would be extremely easy to tank with this roster, but with him it's virtually impossible.

Yeah, I think either Houston or San Antonio makes sense for Fox. I don't care what Houston says, I think they'd trade for Fox. It comes down to what they have to give up. They could say if the deal is just FVV and a bunch of picks, that they didn't touch their core.

Lakers did it again! :o

I like Fox, but their priority right now is to get a defensive minded big man to pair with AD. We already saw how the Westbrook experiment played out, last thing we need is another ball dominant guard.

I mean it makes sense. Would you rather tie your wagon to Wemby or Sabonis long-term?

Honestly this is just both the Kings FO and Fox calling each others bluff.

Fox is going to sign an extension with the Kings.

The Spurs are not signing this dude to a super max. They don't even like dealing with Rich Paul (for good reason).

Actually I think the Spurs have a fine relationship with Klutch. I don't think they mind dealing with them at all

I guess you forgot about the BS with the Morris brother and Dejounte's immaturity. Fox on a reasonable deal is fine. A super max would be crippling. Once Wemby gets his deal, everyone else needs to be cheaper, otherwise Spurs won't be contending for anything.
