Mainly the bench has some height issues, but it's what it is.

Payne
Deuce
Precious
Shamet is a solid enough 4 man bench.

Thibs is never going 10 deep, so if/when Mitch comes back, maybe there's a world where Shamet sits, Towns & Hart minutes drop a little, and Mitch gets his 18-20 that way.

And Mitch's first 5 games back, he's probably not exceeding 10 mpg, then ramping up to 15, then to 18-20

So, if the goal is to play the starters 34 mpg, that's 70 minutes split between 4 bench players.

They should probably go 18/18/14/14. Some bench player someone likes, either Mitch or Deuce or Precious or even Payne is going to wind up playing 12-14 mpg. Just so the minutes watchers aren't upset.

I think Thibs likes Precious and he's Thibs type of defender, but I still wonder if Mitch returning will just cut Precious minutes only, rather than being more flexible and creative with lineups
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Everyone wins, except for the people that want the team to be bad because of agendas, and those that thought the "minutes police" were wrong, which is why they're still fighting.

Feel like some dudes would have been happier if the starters played more minutes and we lost

…better yet, if the bench played these minutes and we lost

So many great facets tonight.

Active hands, fast feet, dribbling with head up, outlet passes.

Mikal has added a zero to his next contract compared with his early season play.

I love how Cam keeps his defender off balance.

This game had as many highlights as half a season in the bad old days

More like a full season.

I remember a stretch when Kurt Thomas was our center and literally no one in our starting lineup could dunk!

Like buzz said wake me up when we CONSISTENTLY beat OKC, C's, Rockets, and Cavs... those 4 teams, not gonna be satisfied until then unlike Thibs fanatics who are just happy to see the 2nd round

Kolek really reminds me of Steve Nash, he has to develop shots off the dribble...

We had to live off Mardy Collins’ late season surge for a while too

Kolek has some nice potential.. maybe. Guys like him and Huk, Dadiet taken in the 2nd round used to be called "projects" that a team would spend multiple years developing in the g-league. Now we gotta give them 20 minutes on day 1 so they can be in a rotation on a contender their rookie season, its unrealistic.

it is pretty awesome that we hear all these trade rumors and big names potentially moving and we can honestly sit back and say...nah we good. We don't need those guys.

That's the run up to the ASB. ALL playoff/play-in teams except TOR. B2Bs. Huge test. I want to continue streaking!!!

at least there are a couple 2+ day breaks mixed in there. 2 days off leading into lakers on Sat. After B2B they have 3 days off before facing Boston on 2/8 then another 2 days off before the B2B against IND/ATL.

Weird schedule I guess when there are two instances of 2+ days off mixed in with two B2Bs... it does seem like the team was getting worn down and is looking rejuvenated after that previous 3 days rest.

Maybe LeBron was on to something suggesting a reduction in games, where there would be more quality basketball.

34 teams, 66 games, fair enough

Right we'd need to demolish OKC and Boston on back to back road games for you to even halfway bat an eye.

I’m sure you’ll find another reason to want to fire Thibs in the next couple days. You always do.
