I think it's way too much value for the Bucks and the Bucks defense would be very bad.

By value I assume you mean the Bucks are receiving too much back in value?

But yes, this makes us worse on defense. Although it would be nice to have some young talent on this team.

I don't think Fox is for us (which I'm sad about as a Fox fan who thinks he's be a great #2 and an unbelievable #3). That said, I'm hoping him being on the market now further reduces Jimmy's price comparatively. I've been talking myself into Jimmy today so long as no FRPs are going out.

Wiggins has a player option for 26-27, so he is an instant no from the Heat. So Warriors have to loop in a third team to take him. I assume they are also over the second apron so that’s another hurdle.

This would put us 1.235M under the second apron with only 12 players, but we could get back to a 15 man roster with some cap maneuvering.

Promote two herd players who don’t have any NBA experience for 10 day contracts to get us to the minimum 14 man roster. That’s about 133K.

Then, on Feb 16th when those 10 day expires, do nothing, and ride with 12 guys until March 1st which is the deadline to sign a new player who can still appear in the playoffs.

There would be 44 days left in the season, and the min contracts would be prorated for a combined 1.056M.

Then, since two way players can be converted and eligible for the playoffs as long as they are signed by last day - promote Rollins in the last 3 days of the season. It’s about 12K per day for him.

If we convert Rollins with 3 days left, it would leave us about 9K under the second apron with a full 15.

I can't even begin to understand how out-of-touch Marks is with the current value on all of those dudes. Kyle Kuzma having the worst year of his career. Zach LaVine magically turning into a positive trade asset the second we're linked to him, even after Marks himself was told last month by a front office source how bad it is:

ESPN's Bobby Marks spoke to one team that said LaVine's contract with the Bulls will likely prevent it and most other teams around the league from pursuing him in a trade.
