I kind of miss some of those guys like BK and cave etc. Ie it’s totally fine to go hard on some takes and be wrong about it and still be around.

Hell I’ve had some elite takes (Brogdon 5/1 trade, get KP, a few other small ones) and I also argued for years with galaxy brain takes like that Avery Bradley was as good as Brad Beal and that Olynyk was a good pick over Giannis. 8-)

No doubt. I thought RJ Hunter was going to be an absolute draft steal... and that's one of the bad takes I haven't blocked out. I gave BK a lot of ribbing about his JB obsession but he never took it all that personally. Cave was always entertaining, sometimes in a good way and sometimes in a bad way.

That’s hilarious, my phone will still to this day autocorrect random *** short things to RJ lol.

Read on Twitter

Unfortunate that this streak coincides with **** shooting slump by the team. Otherwise, he’d have more assists and team offense would soar.

He's trying to do too much.

Career low 32% from 3pt land.

FG% lowest since his rookie year.

I don't get the JB hate that he's getting. These are the players who are making max money and they all have one BIG thing in common: NO CHAMPIONSHIP RING!!!!

Bunch of trades to make Voltron, but no Championship.

Embiid
Dame
Bam
Jimmy
Beal
Booker
Kat
Lavine
Trae
PG

^^^^^

That group deserves all the criticism in the world because they're all empty stats in my book.

I don't think Bam or Butler deserve it. The rest, sure.

JB is getting hate cuz he's playing horribly right now. And when JB messes up it's so blatantly bad, lol. It's overreaction, but it's understandable. He's kind of a microcosm for the whole team. We know they can play a lot better, but just aren't right now. I'm in the "sit back, assume they play better when it really matters cuz they've done it before" crowd, but I get why people are super antsy / complainy right now.

JB will be fine.

Takes him a while, but he eventually gets it.

Yeah Bam doesn't deserve it. But Jimmy? He's barely played over 60 games in the last 8 seasons.

Fair, but he dragged 2 teams that had no business being there to the finals. So, no championships is true, but when healthy and not being a diva, he's well above the rest of the guys in the list to me. No problems with anyone docking him for all the time he is being a diva / injured, though.

The phrase to trade targets, free agent targets, vets, rookies, and anyone in between was "if you win a title in Boston you're beloved forever". I'm not excusing his mistakes on the court, but the guy won Finals MVP, ECF MVP, and multiple all-star so not just some guy riding coattails to a ring last year. Sadly though he's not beloved, despite the sentiment of the phrase. Do what you want, but maybe let's not act like winning forgives all then say except you JB mere months after the team wins its first title in 16 years. We truly are an insufferable bunch sometimes...

I actually think Brown is beloved, at least based on the crowds' reactions before and during games. But his decision-making is pendular. Sometimes he plays like the veteran he is, but sometimes he operates like a rookie making the dumbest mistakes, which cost possessions. Impossible to gloss over that, no matter how much one may like the guy.

Tatum is also guilty of making dumb decisions, just not as much as JB and he doesn't commit them at the worst times in a game lol. But, that is true. JB's IQ can be so bad he can make the hardest stan turn against him lmao.

Just hope neither has to wait until the 20th anniversary night at the Garden to truly be appreciated. Winning last year made either of there mistakes, and team losses in general, much easier to stomach for me.

Some Celtics fans overlook JB mistakes and forgive other players. Sometimes he can be frustrating but the result is the only thing that count.
JB is a playoff performer, always been outside the Miami series in 2022/23.
Enjoy the season and relax, advanced stats don't win titles.
