Simmons and Russillo are debating both Amen Thompson or J-Dub (the good one) for Booker straight up. Another interesting trade

He HATED that trade of our pick...said something like trading a $2 bill for 3 quarters or something like that. I'll have to finish it.

They are super high on Amen Thompson.

Dude. I'm literally listening to it now.

Did you hear the part about Scottie Barnes? Simmons puts him at a super low value like 50 or so. I personally would trade Booker there with 0 hesitation for Barnes, Gradey Dick and a pick. Like, let's say the Dinos land at #6 this year. Either they give that to us or roll it over to next year.

Would you do that one?

Heartbeat .

Would also need to trade Durant

so STILL 3 FRP's for Butler. Nahhh

And Ghost, don't try and sell me on Colby Jones

But.......But........Nah. I'd only have minimal interest maybe if it was a straight-up swap of D Lee for Jones as he's a little more versatile end-of-the-bench version of Delon Wright/ Terrence Davis. nothing really outlier to build towards. :D

Why is it that every trade has the Suns sending three, THREE, First round picks for Butler?

Do these people really think he is worth that at this stage of his career? I get they are later in the first round picks but still --

Beal is cock blocking most trades. You can blame him.

Mercifully.

I guess this team isn't doing anything?

Well then blow it up.

Can't beat the Pups while they are missing Naz Reid off the bench. Meanwhile the Warriors without Draymond just beat the Thunder and SGA goes for 50. The Thunder need help. We can give them KD for Chet. Retool around Book (or trade him for Amen this offseason and our picks back).

Beal will waive his NTC once KD and Booker are gone.

Amen, Chet, Dunn, picks back. What a dream. Ishbia wants the fans to stick around, these kinds of young players would do it.

Definitely could be worse and that would not be terrible.

I don't think it's realistic. Houston likely would only do a Amen deal for Booker straight up, if they agree at all to it. Same with KD and Chet. They'd say no mostly like and try and use just picks. Both teams have a ton of them and would be better served trying to make things happen that way

Phoenix Suns

Approach at the deadline: Buyers

Outside of Jimmy Butler, the Suns are looking to see what they can do. They’re actively shopping Jusuf Nurkic for perimeter help. The Suns made the draft pick swap with the Jazz to have some assets to move right now.

Ideal approach at the deadline: Buyers

Without getting deep into it, a Butler deal has to involve finding Bradley Beal an acceptable home. If that can’t happen, Phoenix should try to turn Jusuf Nurkic’s contract into a couple of helpful players, even if that means moving one or two of the recently acquired first-round picks.

Were in a disastrous situation, we've already played our hand by trading the 31 pick and our biggest trade chip has a no trade clause.

I'm not ruling out Jimmy coming by the deadline. But if he does were losing all our picks plus Dunn guaranteed. Suns have zero leverage

We are one full week away from the trade deadline. There will be some trade but it's too early.

Some of y’all are on some massive hopium. Ishbia just traded picks for some star WNBA player. He has zero interest in getting young talent even though right under his **** nose Ryan Dunn is EXACTLY WHAT HE PREACHED AGAINST “no draft pick is going to come in and help you win”. The irony in all of it. But yea, just stop talking about trading book/KD you’re wasting everyone’s time. I doubt we will see a reset in the next 6 years. Thats actually depressing.
"Mannnnn I’m like the guy that pissed this whole board off saying literally all year no Mikal, no Mikal in the KD trade."

This has been my theory. If you move on from Book and KD, that might make it easier to move on from Beal and he will waive his NTC

Russillo and Simmons mentioning the Houston trade - that is a dream

KD for Chet -- I doubt OKC does that but if they call, the Suns should answer

And yes, if Ishbia wants fans, the younger team would bring them in.

Getting Butler at the cost of 3 FRPs (or 2 FRPs and Dunn) might be good for the next 2-3 months but won't be playing very many meaningful games in May & June - and that should be the goal.

For the last week, I have thought to get Jimmy Butler, Ishbia would be willing to use Ryan Dunn and all three FRPs - a combination

And I have thought to move Nurkic AND get Butler - it would cost Dunn and all three FRPS in both trades. Or using Dunn to get a FRP to help faciliate another trade

Bradley - stay strong!!!

Return to Phoenix Suns
