Why Raptors are looking to trade Agbaji?
I keep reading his name in proposed trades. Why Raptors have made him available for trade? He is young, is in his 4th season. He is of same age bracket as Barnes, RJ and IQ. He is putting some good offensive numbers now 50 FG%, 40 3P%. Why not keep him and let him continue to become better? What are the worst things in his game that Raptors are better off trading him ASAP?

everyone is available for the right price....it's unlikely any team will give a good enough offer for Ochai

Would be stupid to trade a young 3 and D player who belongs in our starting lineup currently. I doubt any team would give us an offer worth doing.

Unless it's Masai or Bobby that are proposing the trades, it's just random people writing their own ideas on the internet. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.
That said, for the right price, anybody should be available.

We got him for the 29th pick, if we can trade him for a mid 1st it would be a winning trade. We have too many guards and not enough bigs. We need to get some sort of balance going.

Re: Why Raptors are looking to trade Agbaji?
They probably aren't, but Agbaji is cheap again next year and he's a solid 3+D player so there's definitely offers coming in for him that don't suck. My guess is the other offers we are getting for guys don't have any real value coming back to us.
I do like him, but I wouldn't rule out a deal happening. It would be selling high after buying low, which is typically a good idea.
Especially if for some reason we did get in the Butler trade and move say Brown + Olynyk for Wiggins, or these weird Ingram rumours are real. At that point we'd have enough wing depth that moving Agbaji for a top 10 protected first to add to an eventual trade package might be appealing, if some team like Milwaukee, Denver, Boston or the Knicks want to add someone and nobody good is cheap enough to actually make their rotation. Definitely not enough defence with Ingram, probably similar with Wiggins.
Or a team like Orlando doing something like Cole Anthony + #16 for Agbaji + Boucher and they get a Mo Wagner replacement for the year and save like 7M next year which might be enough to sneak them under the tax next year (especially if Agbaji coming in means they can dump Howard to some tanking team like Washington, save another 3M) and upgrade their ugly 3pt shooting. It might hurt in 2 years when Agbaji is making 17M a year and the #16 pick is making 5M a year, but teams make that tradeoff sometimes, and they can keep Agbaji's value down by virtue of him splitting time with KCP.
We probably do need to add some firsts to eventually make a move for a proper all-star guard/wing/center to pair with Barnes.
Agbaji is cheap this year and next, and then he'll get what he's worth since he'll make sense as a non-tax MLE signing as an RFA. We're not winning multiple playoff series this year or next. For some team like Denver or Milwaukee, having him in their rotation (starting even for Milwaukee) might be the difference between winning a series and losing one.

Re: Why Raptors are looking to trade Agbaji?
He’s not untouchable. But yeah, will be hard to let him go after they turned him into a solid, hyper efficient 3D guy in just one off season. I don’t think he has the chops to take it to the next level like say Norm Powell did though, so we gather these nice to have guys when we are looking for main guys still. Gradey and Walter have that potential to be that somewhat, so ultimately they’ll probably roll the dice with them if they have to choose over Ochai:
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars
Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid
There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Why trade the best shooter AND defender of the group?

Why trade the best shooter AND defender of the group?
Agreed.
At this point, I have more faith in Agbaji than Dick or Walter to be a starting caliber player.
Dick might actually be the guy I’d be most interred in moving, as he likely has the highest value around the league and I’m personally suspect if such a bad defender can start.

I would only move him combined with another player for an upgrade at forward that is bigger.

Sell high.
We need more than a 3&D at SG, unless we get someone who can create at SF, which is very unlikely.
He is behind Brown this year, and most likely behind Walter next year. We also have Dick who doesn't have a defensive position, and maybe best defending SG.

Gradey is Korver lite imo. He’s more athletic and less of a shooter too. He’s a solid rotation player on a rookie scale contract.
Instead of trading Jak, it makes more sense (imo) to move him. However, I’d much rather move Boucher than either of them.
Point of fact I’m a bit concerned that we end up keeping Bruce Brown.
I believe in Masai.

I could see a lot of winning programs eyeing him.
As long as we’re facilitating I could see how he gets roped in.
He’s definitely a pat riley type of player.

Re: Why Raptors are looking to trade Agbaji?
I'm not overly attached to most on the team so if a good deal for Ochai becomes available why not.
Ochai is a 5th option/bench player

Solid logic. Depending on who we draft/plan to draft he might be moved, but he’s really grown on me.
I like him as a starter with other ball dominant guys. I like him as a glue guy with Jak. I really like him as a 7th/8th man. He’s a solid playoff rotation player imo.
If we get Ingram or Wiggins he moves to the bench, but only Wiggins is arguably better than him defensively.
