Yeah, to me it is Kelly for Nurk plus 2025 1st but if it is Boucher, Davion it has to be one of the later ones and even then I don’t think giving up that much flexibility is worth it for a pick with so little upside. Plus Davion might be too valuable as an RFA along with Boucher.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Trading for Nurk if we get a 1st is not a bad deal. Nurk is one of those guys I think not being used properly in the Suns system. He could fit Toronto a lot better, and we could Nurse him back to JV type of value next season. Also, gives us a serviceable C in the event we decide to move Jakob. Nurk is a pretty good passer.

To tank properly I would love to get value for Poetl and then get additional value for picking up Nurk.
Puts a big body in the middle to keep Scottie safe while also helping us tank

I think if there's a path to getting a 1st, even one with little upside, out of our vets/expirings I won't turn my nose up at it. But yes, the Boucher and Davion deal should be one that gets us slightly better pick value than the Kelly version.

Ultimately if the Suns see taking any 2025-26 salary back as a non-starter, the Kelly offer wouldn't be an option, can only take what we can get.

Davion staying is an option, for sure, but if he is then they are limited in what they can take back in 2025-26 salary, which might hamstring any of the other trades they could look to make to get assets at this deadline.

Don’t think Mathurin would have been a deal breaker, just means less picks coming back.

Three straight seasons of negative VORP, and we'd have at most one more season to evaluate him before needing to extend him. He could mature into a better player in a few years but it's a gamble and I expect Indiana will be looking for a pretty significant return if they trade him, probably their draft pick back and a player that can help them now.

Yeh I'm not big on this guy at all. Like we have a Rich Man's version of him in RJ. His game just looks a bit flawed when watching him play.
