Embiid recruited Drummond
PJ Tucker say hi

I think Drummond is what Drummond is, but +/- numbers on this team with this rosters changeovers day-to-day probably ain't the way the judge it. I think the increased pace is a big reason as to why they play better. I think drumming for short spurts can run the floor and help the pace with his rebounder.
The pace isn't on Drummond It's on nurse for keeping them playing the way he wants them to play when Joel. Literally idiotic stuff.
We’re essentially playing 4-on-5 on offense with Drummond. His lack of spacing allows a single defender to guard two players, and he’s not a lob threat, meaning bigs can sit in the middle of a PnR without worrying about him. Defenses love when Kelly Oubre curls off a Drummond screen because it becomes a low ppp action (i’d guess) since they can have a defender defend two guys on offense.
You can’t play fast, because he can’t shoot nor is he quick and athletic.
If you play slow, it’s easier for the defense to set and make it hard for you to run the offense.
Defensively, he’s neither a rim protector nor a switchable/rangy defender (the type that can cover distances to help close outs) to compensate for his offensive limitations. He’s fine as a backup for Embiid, where he’s matched up against second units, but when facing starters—especially those from good teams—his weaknesses on both ends become too easy to exploit.
On a semi-related note this is a good vid to watch
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
