No, and it's because he has the local kid who grew up a Knicks fan cheat code. That is a rocket fuel propellent in these conversations.

For example, imagine throwing that cheat code on top of Josh Hart - let's say he was from Tremont and grew up idolizing Anthony Mason. Pairing that with his style of play and production could legitimately cause feelings of love, intoxication, aneurysms, and cardiac events at MSG.

Also, he's just a bully on the court.

Truly blessed after a lifetime of terrible and at best mediocre pg play.

And whats wild is that he is so consistently great that when he has down plays/games it is wildly infuriating. We expect greatness from him and he always delivers. Truly fortunate to watch him ball in a knicks uni.

But but but....he's not a pure enough point

Knicks best starting starting 5, 7 man rotation since the 90's, possibly since the championship teams

Also the most likeable 7 man rotation since the championship teams

I was a bit young to appreciate Starks but he probably would have been my favorite if I was really into sports at that point.

Sprewell was my favorite Knick growing up.

Probably Mikal at this point. I know he hasn't met the lofty expectations many have had for him but he may have been the guy that has had to sacrifice the most. He showed he could be more than a 3 and D guy over the last few years but he has accepted that role again while also having to step up and carry a bigger load at times.

He hasn't complained about being asked to be the point attack defender all game while playing crazy minutes and dealing with a ton of criticism from an impatient fan base in an unforgiving media landscape. I like the improvements I have seen from him on the defensive end recently and I have no issue with him attempting to improve his jump shot last off-season. I trust him to get the kinks worked out by next season.

I love his ability to get to his spots in the midrange and create for himself and others at times. Nothing flashy. Just simple and effective. If he can get that above the break 3 figured out while maintaining his current level of defense I would have no complaints about him.

I just like his workman-like attitude mixed with just the overall positivity. I still wouldn't have traded all those picks for him but that wasn't his decision.

Brunson - for being him and everything you'd want in a PG, lead scorer and captain

Bridges - for the old school mid range game, smooth style and being unashamed to use sticky deodorant on exposed pits

OG - for being a quiet defensive assassin who can occasionally go off on offense

Hart - for being the heart and soul of the team, a Rodman like rebounder and the guy who doesn't care about stats but accumulates them anyway

KAT - for being the hometown kid who comes back to be the best center since Ewing. And that passing. And shooting.

Deuce - for being the scrappy defensive bench pest with a very good jumper that all really good teams have

Honorable mention:
Precious - another hometown hero with a nice all around game
Payne for being a nutty scrappy shot maker
Sims for looking like super sized Little Lord Fauntleroy

Deuce is also like Starks… while Hart has also a Mason in him… and a little Spree… with Mikal a mix of Hubert Davis, Spree and Houston

They occupy a similar space in my head just for the kind of chaotic, intense spark they bring to the game. Plus #3. Hart's a MUCH smarter player though.

Josh Hart.

Brunson brought me here, I telepathically manipulated the Nets and Wolves to send Mikal and KAT here, but Josh is my favorite player on the team. He will die on the court for this team and fanbase.

I like dirty work players. Those are the guys that care the most I think.
