Bleh I think the only deal I can come around to is Jimmy. But it’s a real ‘**** it, we’re not going anywhere as is so may as well have a swing’ type move.

Pat to wherever with the 31 second rounder to get under the apron.

Bobby and Midds for Jimmy.

Otherwise meh, try flip Bobby for someone a little more impactful on the defensive end and just see what happens.

middleton imo is not even a distressed asset. hes a net even salary slot at best. i think if we "put him on sale" we wouldnt get a call offering positive value in any normal situations. i just think hes the kind of guy and contract a team could talk themselves into if they were trying to unload money and rebuild like chicago with lavine.... or backed into a corner like miami with butler

this is a blessing for us its even available. thats really how we should look at it imo

im sad for khris. i hate typing this stuff

Well put.

Don’t give up the first unless there’s some other big part of the deal.

If one of Jimmy or LaVine is significantly cheaper that matters.

Agreed Miami or Chicago could talk themselves into Khris as well. This kind of scenario may or may not be available again after the deadline too.

Benedict Mathurin is available. The price is a player they like and a 1st. We interested? He's weird. I watch him once and I'm awestruck, next time I'm completely unimpressed.

His highest scoring month (20ppg on great volume and percentages) was………..

November of 2022 his rookie year. He’s never approached that month since. I don’t know what to make of that. In November 2022 he looked like the next Ray Allen.

In November of 2009 Brandon Jennings looked like Mark Price

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

Depends on what player they like I guess, but generally speaking I'd be pretty interested.

Mathurin is a tough one. A bit like Jalen Green. They show flashes of being all-nba caliber dudes but then will fade out of games Wiggins style for long stretches. I wouldn’t trust either enough to pay them big money (or pay a haul to trade for them).

But yeah, he could be another Baddy J or late bloomer like Chauncey Billups.

Always a red flag to me when a young team is looking to trade their Top-10 pick who’s still on his rookie contract. Pass.

MKE Isaac, Boganovich, Zeller (or other big salary filler)
ORL Middleton (or routed to 4th team)
ATL Brook, salary filler from ORL like Houstan

Dame, Rollins, AJJ
Ajax, Green
Bog, Trent, Pat
Giannis, Bobby
Isaac, Zeller

Leaves you Pat, Bobby, Marjon and picks to add a last piece because I think the first deal gets us under the apron.

Wouldn't give the 1st rounder for Mathurin. Cheaper than that, sure

Magic, Pistons, Warriors, Wolves are all teams that could benefit from Midds and talk themselves into it. If we had to trade him, I’d be talking to these teams to gauge their interest.

This one works for me, after watching the bucks get beat on the boards the last two games , realized we need more front court depth more than anything else . always thought if we traded Bobby we needed a big back , this last road trip confirmed it in my opinion! In fact I don't want to trade Bobby , he rebounds, can score, and I know sometimes he takes bad shots and can be a black hole but honestly I think he is the least of our worries!

Think all it means in this case is that they want to keep Turner and their owner is Herb Simon.

Mathurin will make a fine tank commander but I think that’s his NBA future. He’s in that Jordan Poole/Sexton group of players for mine.

Totally agree, this is right probably 90% of the time. Probably right this time.

However, this reminds a little of when Carlyle couldn't get anything near the best out of Porzingas. Maybe this is the team making the mistake? I don't know, I'll keep looking for something better.

Rivers said today ,in regard to the trade deadline, that "we're in a great place" and "we don't need to do a thing".

BS maybe, but not sure why he had to go there if he didn't believe it.

I will hate losing Khris. But since we have a max of a 2 year window for a championship I would prefer either Butler or Lavine. Maybe Cam Johnson. If we can’t get them, we should keep Khris. I can’t think of anyone else other than those 2 or 3, who increase our championship chances.

If we keep Khris, we should try Portis for ValenC.
