nah Lakers season is over. AD wanted Lakers to get a 5 so he could play 4. Dallas should have asked for knect too but still good trade for them. This clears the path for Lebron to be traded too, is there anything we ca get in on?

Calling it now. Butler to the Mavs for LAL 1st, Mavs 1st + players. Jimmy reunites w his buddy Kyrie + AD. That trio is enough firepower to have a legit shot at a finals run this year. 2025 may be chit but adding Luka is a massive long term win for L.A.

Damn...that might the most crushing face of the franchise trades I have ever heard of.

When was the last time a possible MVP was traded at 25 by choice?

I guess...good for LA....horrible for the Mavs fans....

Didn't Luka just loose a ton of money with this? That whole 2026 dream might have just got an uptick in probability.

EVERYONE in Dallas should be fired, anyone that approved this trade just lost his job in my eyes. It will just take another year or 2.

In terms of value, easily the worst trade in NBA history.

Giving up a 25YO MVP level 1A offensive engine for the always injured over the hill Davis?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Even if for some reason they didn't want Luka long term, they could have gotten SO MUCH more in return.

Anyway, Jimmy trade possibilities just totally opened up. Their craziness might be our lucky day.

This. I dont care how it plays out this is the worst trade in NBA history. The value you could've had with him being shopped around the league. The Spurs could've given you 7-8 1st round pick + everyone not named Wemby.

Even Miami could've send Bam+Jovic+JJJ+picks which is way better than the Lakers offer.

Cuban recently sold shares of the Mavs to investors after his delusional take, bad mouthing the NFL, touting the NBA inevitable take over as America's #1 sport has me wondering how they maybe feeling this morning.

It's not just the trade but the putrid haul that it was done for.... SMH!

They were concerned about Luka’s future injury risk Rex, so they traded for a currently injured and actually injury-prone, aging big man known affectionately by the nicknames ‘Street Clothes” and “Day-to-Davis.”
