I like Sabonis a lot. This doesn't work for OKC. They need bulk and rim protection.

This is a bunch of nickels it looks like but
Trading Fox doesnt have to do with Domas. Domas is by far the teams best player, and many feel losing Fox won’t do much negative to team prospects
Team isn’t looking to rebuild at this stage

I think Sacramento should look to move Sabonis and rebuild. But I don’t think they will. I think they will try to retool around him on the fly. So I assume they would turn this down to do that strategy, even if they shouldn’t.

Re: Big Domas to OKC
I think Sabonis would make OKC even more ridiculous... And Clay would have 1.5 years to decide if he’s willing to spend like Ishbia.
Always can trade Sabonis in the summer of 2026 and recoup “half” the assets..
For Sac, I don’t think they plan to rebuild so wouldn’t consider the base idea... And do think they’d need more value than this if they did make him available.

Has this always been the sentiment? I kind of always thought Fox was viewed as Sac's true number 1.

Yes. At least by the bball community. NBA.com had Domas as a top ten mvp candidate the last two seasons
It may have been mixed two years ago (even though Domas has always been better clearly) among Kings fans, but the last two years the overwhelming majority of Kings fans would have Domas as 1.

Sabonis is 5th in the league in EPM. I'd give up far more for him than Fox, who is 79th.

Re: Big Domas to OKC
I don’t think OKC does this. It’s not a defensive fit and while they do have the assets they simply don’t need a big swing like this, and it could disrupt team chemistry.
