Bucks or Grizzlies seem like the two teams. Don’t think Grizz go with it unless Bernie and Butler call them saying he’s motivated to help win a chip. Butler is a very mercurial gamble for the Grizz and have to be careful the effect he could have in that lockerroom after he’s already thrown shade on them in the media by saying no to Memphis. That’s a good young team with solid chemistry.
The Grizz seem unlikely because of what you mentioned. If anything they will trade nothing of value.
The Bucks are motivated and have pieces we can use for a playoff run but are in the East. They have a punchers chance to win a ring with a motivated on the war path Jimmy out for blood. The amount of egg on the face, first Lebron leaves and wins two rings, then if Jimmy leaves and helps the Bucks win another ring, ouch.
Suns have low value picks but picks and a player who can help us. Beal contract becomes less of an issue with Herro getting his extension this fall. Odds of them winning a ring are unlikely so that would be an additional bonus to Pat and his ego.
The cap will go up so Beal will ball out, it just comes down to do you think he takes a paycut and doesnt opt out or if he opts out to get his last good contract before age destroys his value. Beal is all about the money, more likely than not he will opt out $$$. The only draw back is if he gets hurt.
Worst option is we do nothing, Jimmy comes back and just destroys the team from the inside. We saw how much happier and free Bam played with Jimmy gone. At this point its take the best of the worst options. Remember team suspension dont impact the cap, league suspension do. So we can try to fine Jimmy, it wont impact our cap and the Union will make sure he gets paid. Best to move him asap.
