I'm in for Lavine now as well. Him or Butler would potentially be playoff difference makers for this team moreso than unfortunately a washed Khris will be.

The only way I could see it happening is if New Orleans views Dejounte as a negative asset and so we get something like Butler and Duncan Robinson for Ingram and Dejounte and they use the trade as just a pure salary dump. The problem with that is it goes against Miami's desire to not take on any long term contracts.

Trading a large expiring for a large expiring seems like a hassle for New Orleans. Why trade for Butler if you’re just going to let him walk? Just let Ingram walk then no? Unless they feel like they’re able to dump more contracts in the process? Seems kind of weird to me. I can understand Pat Riley wanting to dump Jimmy in a losing situation as 1 last **** you out the door. Is that what it comes down too tho?

There’s been reports that Yabusele is available. It wouldn’t make any sense why Philly would want to deal him to us, but they did give us Beverley last year. He could be pretty much the exact guy we’re looking for.

If I squint and tilt my head just right, I can see Jimmy calling Zion a fatass and motivating him to get into shape?

Or selling him lattes.

Even Ingram would be a total pipedream for them at this stage. Miami and Phoenix are gonna go down flailing and swinging, but nobody's buying any of this stuff about A) the market for Jimmy being robust, and B) any team out there wanting Beal even with whatever assets PHX can attach (and that's before we even get into the fact that Beal can scuttle anything with his NTC). Miami's just gonna have to swallow their pride at some point in the next 6-days. A couple expiring, useful NBA players is the best they're probably gonna do.

He'd definitely be a positive addition. But we don't have the 4 2nd round picks to deal like we did for Mirotic or Crowder.

Also - Sixers are right there for the 10th seed play-in spot. They may hold tight and not sell their role players.

It would be slick to get Monk and Derozan.

I guess the real question will be how committed they decide to become to the idea of tanking the remainder of the season in order to try keeping their 1st round pick this year. If they actually decide to pursue that goal then moving Yabusele makes sense. Now given that, whether the Bucks are able to offer up a competitive package for him is the follow up question and I think some team will out bid the Bucks.

LaVine would in theory let us reduce Dame and Giannis regular season minutes as well, which to me is a huge plus. Of course idk if Giannis has it in his head he's getting the scoring title this year.

The refs would not give Derozan calls on the Bucks.

Committing $40 million plus in salary these next 3-years for two contracts that Sacramento is instantly regretting? Yeah, no thanks.

look, if you think Khris is washed, Lavine is a perfectly suitable option. If we end up making that trade, that will be why. But if not, then Middleton is the better player even aside from his connection to Giannis and the Bucks in general. Not to mention the contract difference.

Only the team knows the extent to which he has diminished. We have our own theories, largely influenced by recent history, but we dont know everything. We will have that answer soon, thankfully.

Not convinced Lavine is a winning player. Give me Jimmy with a chip on his shoulder. He's the best 2-way player we can get with our limited assets. He's a dawg. And he gives us a chance to match up with Boston's wings for a change.

Yes, it could blow up in our face. But we are pot committed and we clearly aren't holding the best hand. Time to draw a card.

yeah i want Jimmy every day over Lavine, provided he's into coming here. I can't really imagine why he wouldn't be though.

only problem is he will have more suitors than Lavine.

The LaVine stuff feels like it's still entirely dependent on Beal waiving his NTC to go to Chicago, because I can't imagine we're dumb enough to throw the 2031 1st on top of Khris/Bobby in a straight up deal with them (what's their incentive otherwise?). I think it's Jimmy or bust right now.

It looks like Fox, Jimmy, Beal, LaVine, Ingram, Midds could all be involved in ONE trade. Get it done already!
