Pascal will always be my favorite Raptor of all time.
Miss the guy.
I'd always say that he had it in him to become an efficient 3pt shooter and he's finally unlocked that part of his game - shooting 42% from deep this season.
His work ethic was crazy.

Goes to show how hard it is to score without a "real" #1. Mentioned how Williams is struggling with it and it takes time, making mistakes.
Just something to remember that Barnes doesn't have that luxury to hide that flaw for most of the game like Williams does.
I think it has more to do with how OKC is built and then factor in the Chet injury. I would say Scottie having just RJ out there is way better than any offensive support that Williams has been getting when SGA is off the floor. They are absolutely loaded with role players who can defend and hit the 3, but they have hardly anyone that can create their own offense.
Williams is a +9.0 in on court per 100, but also an eye popping -9.6 in on/off per 100. They're just so much worse when SGA is not on the floor.

Now that Cade and Mobley are All-Stars, and Barnes already was one, I wonder when Jalen Green's (or Suggs) gonna get their first All-Star nod

Suggs doubtful but he has all nba defence in his future. Jalen Green might get the allstar nod based on team record at one point.

Zero shot for both Jalens imo. The league is too talented for a defensive first guard or a shot chucking guard to make it. Like right now there are 'snubs" that are better than both those guys that ain''t make it. Book/Lamelo/Haliburton and even Trae/Powell.
Franz would have had one this year so he is likely to get one next in that class.

Hindsight and all... The Rockets have a young but very complimentary defensive and offensive connecting core.
They should have gone for Harden instead of Fred. They could then do the Butler trade and you'd be looking at a very interesting contender... Offseason you have both Sengun/Green to work with in potential trades for a third piece.
Both guys are old and it could fall apart immediately, but hard to peg both Harden being still elite enough now and the younger guys being complimentary enough at this exact moment. Hindsight.

Banchero’s TS% is down to 52%. Yikes.

He is overrated never been that efficient but that number should go up. He has looked extra rough since coming back from the injury.
I have maintained Franz is currently the best guy from that draft class 2 years now and better than Paolo. but because he does not fill up boxscore as much esp rebounding/ppg, he is not looked as that.

Orlando is in a tough spot because if Paolo doesn’t pan out then they got a 1st-2nd round ceiling.

A bigger issue with Orlando is they misused their cap before they have/had to pay their guys. The best FA they got is a 31 year old KCP. They basically just resigned their own guys. Even OKC got Caruso/IHart. Those are 2 huge upgrades not KCP.
I still maintain Paolo will be good due to his size/ball handling/playmaking just not a top 10 player at all. Some were comparing him to Wemby/Chet and that is just ridiculus.

I liked the KCP signing. It’s pretty surprising to see how bad he’s been. Shows you how good Jokic is.

You have 7 years before you need to feel the heat from your star players, and you should spend the bulk of it accumulating with your cap through trades. There was no hurry to start getting guys on the wrong side of 30 while everyone is still developing.
You can get Harrison Barnes' dumb money contract with a Kings pick swap attached to it (Spurs trade) for your cap space, or be the dumb money team who hands it out to Tobias Harris and KCP with the exact same outcomes after a couple years and nothing to show for it.
Cycle. Assets. While. You. Can.

They're a contender, and with that could easily win it all, but their second and third guys are still way on the young side and that's an uphill battle when the playoffs come around. Running into that one matchup you can't figure out because of your lack of experience.
I'm back on the thought that they should go for Embiid next year if they can manage to not lose their more valuable other-team future picks, and of course not touch the core.
They've proven they can win without Chet so they can have an aggressive load management plan for him (take the last month of the season off even). Ownership would need to commit to being a tax team for 3 of his remaining contract years, but it's likely worth it. You gotta learn something from the last go around.
