Trade 1
Toronto in: Mathurin (MLE)
Indiana in: their Top 4 protected 2026 FRP back, Temple
Why Raps? They pick up a young SG with high upside at the cost of a likely mid-low FRP.
Why Indy? They get back their full FRPs control for a bigger trade at a cost of a player that doesn't seem to fit.
Trade 2
Toronto in: Wiggins
Warriors in: Brown, POR 2025 SRP, TOR 2026 SRP
Why Raps? They get another 2 way wing locked in a reasonable contract at the cost of SRPs.
Why Warriors? That's probably a piece of a Jimmy (or some other) trade in case Miami prefers an expiring Brown than a 3 year commitment with Wiggins.
Quickley.....Mitchell......Shead
Barrett......Mathurin.....Walter
Wiggins......Dick..........Agbaji
Barnes.......Boucher......Mogbo
Poeltl........Olynyk.......Robinson
Note: Raps still bottom out the rest of the season to keep a Top 6 pick. This probable makes them a tax team next season since they will be at 188 mil with 12 players before they sign their pick. They will still have though some breathing room under the 208 mil 2nd apron mark to bring back Mitchell and Boucher too. If they feel like paying a bit and hit on that pick, that will be a team to watch.

The report of Mathurin being available was that Indy might move him for a productive player they like and draft incentive. This certainly isn’t that.
But, either way, easy no for Indy. Mathurin is worth more than what we hope to be a late 1st. The control of picks for trade isn’t terribly important for Indy as there’s not really a need to trade 4 1st or anything in a deal. We can already deal 2 now, and 3 at the draft. Don’t feel like we’re being held back from any opportunity?
