JDub for Booker is not even straight up. We'd need some picks added on imo.

Would any of you do this trade? Would Orlando? Would anything need to be added by us to get this done? Also, could this have anything to do with the rumor of the Suns looking at trading Nurkic to Atlanta for Bogdan?

We are using Grayson to move Nurkic which is not what I had hoped.
I guess that Beal/3 FRP for Butler offer is legit. Although I think the Kings are targeting Cam to replace Fox.

Not in my opinion. Are they sending out Vassell?

Re: 2024-25 Season Discussion and Speculation Part III
Regarding the all star discussion, I’ve always hated the idea of rewarding great teams with more all stars. Voters/coaches/media always try to get too cute with that kind of stuff and it feels disingenuous. Great teams are rewarded by making the playoffs, not all star. Shoot, even All NBA is there to reward the great, winning players from the year. All star should be about who is the best of the best, team success be damned. You can’t convince me that Sengun is playing better than Sabonis.
This isn’t even about Booker not making it. He was a fringe candidate this year, I definitely get him being omitted. But do I believe he is a better player than Jaylen Williams right now - yes absolutely.

Give me what you say when you can’t answer a question directly for $200
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.
Only a fan of Arizona teams!
Cardinals

That was my thought as well
Well give another name or two. Somebody asked in the thread for another couple names

I mean maybe it's plausible that the Magic are getting desperate enough for shooting...but Goga has just been so good. Maybe they go back to starting Carter Jr and take Nurk in a separate deal to be the backup (along with draft capital perhaps)? Goga might be the best value contract in the league tho, to be honest.
I've been on the Allen-to-ORL train a while, thinking to get filler and the DEN 1st to route to a 3rd team for a forward or big. To me Goga has been too critical for them to trade (unless it's like a star trade of course). With Wagner out for the year and Carter Jr a health risk, they might be even more hesitant.
Trying out this Substack thing. Suns and NBA thoughts. Check it out: https://hoopsnexus.substack.com/

None of our big three are really leaders at all! And has there ever been any superteam that actually won a championship or even made the finals without a true leader on that team?
This is correct. And Butler will be a "leader" until he signs the extension and when the ink dries, that will be that
Bickley nailed it when he said Booker and Durant were perfect for the Olympic team as they could just ball and score without having to be a leader
Durant was perfect for the Warriors as they had Steph and Dray.

Depends on who they send out but maybe not as it will cost Vassell and Castle (probably).
Could be interesting though

Castle is reportedly not in the deal.

From a cap perspective - Vassell for Fox should work, SPurs might need to add a couple million
Granted, if its a 4 team trade - maybe like CamJo is going to the Kings
If this deal happens - I think that makes the SPurs pretty darn good for a long time. So that means OKC, Memphis and San Antonio have better futures than the Suns. And granted, the Spurs might have already had a better future with Wemby, Vassell, Keldon and Castle in a year or so.
Therefore, if this deal goes through - it truly is not the time to go all in on Butler

I think it will be a minutes split with Goga and WCJ. I follow the magic well through fantasy and I think the consensus at least among their fans (and the metrics) is that Goga is better by a small but definite margin, but coach LOVES WCJ, but they do enough things differently whilst being close enough in talent to just split minutes/go with whomever is playing better.
Also is it just me or is Franz actually much better than Paolo? The idea is that they are similar if not Paolo being the lead, but that's not what I see when I watch them. Oh well, kind of irrelevant anyway
Goga for Allen is a very fair trade though. I'd give my left nut for it since goga is 4 years younger. If we have picks left over we can try and find some wings. Hopefully not a redundant one like Bogdan. Goga is far better than Nick Richards. Offers surprising passing ability, big time screen setter, every 5-10 games he may hit a 3.
If you get Goga here playing 28-32 minutes I think you'd see a lot of Suns fans get united behind him in a way that hasn't happened since like Marcin Gortat.

I always appreciate the consistently condescending veiled sarcasm man! And everyone here should know far too well my position on the draft, draft picks (1sts and 2nds), and even where I stand on the all-in or blow-it-up discussions. I'm only posting trades, tweets, etc as potential discussion topics and thought experiments to foster discussion under the current restrictive conditions we're futilely stuck in, and resulting from the consensus reports that our owner and front office strategy (that I don't agree with) is: to go "All In" and completely destroy our future due to the irrational shortsighted compulsively narcissistic nature of our owner!
And as to your question, You know me well enough to not even have to ask this question. But of course, I'd personally prefer to keep that specific pick or all three in a logic-based scenario and draft an actual cost-controlled young high-upside athletes with size, length, explosive athleticism and loads of potential, and a bright future to add to our long term core just as I promoted with Dunn! Heck, even some of my Nurkic trades like the one to New York had us getting back Kolek and Dadiet. And My Allen premise had us getting back Jonathan Mogbo in that trade, the trade with Orlando had us getting back Jett Howard, so I'm still low-key trying to add more young talent to our Durant Retirement Boys' Club project (# DRBC forever!)...LOL.
I understand you're frustrated with our situation and the big picture that a lot of people are ignoring or oblivious to due that'll inevitably result in a horrific decade+ long miserable rebuild. And that you're just venting your frustration by deriding my trade proposals. But again, I'm only posting ideas and premises because these are the unfortunate conditions we're left with to work around. I remember telling people that it was a bad idea to give up so much as we did in our past trades, I also remember frequently promoting draft pick (1sts or 2nds) acquisition and also (along with many others here) suggesting building younger with more size, athleticism, tenacity, talent, physicality. And I remember also suggesting in the offseason/preseason that we secure along, physical, athletic big and add more size and athleticism in general and nothing really came of it peer usual. So my point is that as a fan, I didn't ask for or hold any sway over the situations that brought us here into this situation any more than anyone else here did either.
So I'm just curious as to the reason you're feeling it necessary to target/mock my posts when it's fairly clear that none of us have any choice in our team's direction, and all that's really left is to discuss such ideas, premises, and rumors to pass the time until we fully implode and can then shift focus to other possible topics.
I am joking and it's sarcasm and I don't mean to sound condescending,...I just wasn't sure if you really wanted to trade these picks since they are in so many suggestions or if you would rather hang onto them. It seems if you really wanted to hang onto them you wouldn't post many trades with them, particularly if you wanted to blow it up.
So thanks for clarifiying.
I do apologize for it though if it feels like I am mocking. Because I probably do mock people sometimes in jest or as a joke and sarcasm and in writing people's sense of humor often doesn't come through. But you know I love ya man and it's all in good fun.
Yes I do get mad about the direction of the team and I'm sure that bleeds into my posts and when my posts are in response to someone it may feel directed at them, but I don't mean it that way if I am talking about the team's direction. But I was asking you here specifically because I figured you'd prefer to keep the picks, and was starting to wonder if you changed your tune.
