White to Orl

Post#1 » by pipfan » Sat Feb 1, 2025 4:45 am

I think Orl should get a boost on offense. They have slipped a ton, but shouldn't give up on the season. They need to get back into the top 6 and a shot at the 2nd round.

Bulls shouldn't keep both Giddy and White moving forward. I think White has more value, by a little.

Would Orl do Harris/Howard/Den 1st for White? Maybe too much?

White is good. That's nowhere near enough. I think like 5 teams would offer more than that. If you make it the better of Orlando's 1sts (theirs and Denver) I think you've at least got 1 of the 2 solid assets I'd want for White.

White is good and has one of the better contracts in the NBA. I agree it would take a lot more than this package to pry him out of Chicago.

I'd take it.

He's a chucker, he became brain-dead over the offseason.

Done!

What does ORL add to get some frontcourt depth in Jalen Smith?

More than they'd want.

I like this idea. I'd like Orlando to get a better player, but of this archetype of secondary offensive guards, his contract makes him more appealing than some of the other usual suspects. I think Chicago could probably get the better of the ORL/DEN 1st with some reasonable protection.

I also kinda don't hate a return of Vuc for them.

I've thought of Vuc to Orl too, makes sense. Vuc/White for Harris (buyout), Joseph (buyout), Wagner (out for the year, I think-with a team option next season), Howard-plus both picks

Orl goes with
Suggs/White/Anthony
KCP/White/Black
Franz/TDS/White
Paolo/Isaac/Carter
Vuc/Carter/Goga

With the original deal, Is Howard that bad? I thought he was a decent prospect?

White is a great 6th man candidate, but his value has clearly dropped since June (I was pushing for them to deal him)

I see why some Magic fans are willing to provide limo service. Howard is potential, he's also upping the guard glut of the Bulls sending out one to get two. Neither Harris or Howard is going to play. Howard gets 10 minutes per game 10 points wouldn't even be that impressive.

I can't imagine any team giving up even a late 1st for Coby. He's good but you could find a 2nd or 3rd year combo guard at his current price who isn't due a big new contract in 2 years. I'd say ORL needs to go big with Lavine if they're really serious about improving.
