I feel like the Celtics have the ability to acquire any available non-top 7 player in the league if they wanted.

Al's shooting % and 3pt FG% are really low this season.

Brad needs to make a move.

Hard to believe but offense has been a problem for the Cs this season.

Cs don't have the luxury of having 4 players shooting 40% from 3pt land, like last season.

Clippers trade Tucker, Bamba, stuff for Eubanks and Mills. They're trading end-of-bench guys for potential playoff rotation players', not the other way around. They're not trading Coffey for Springer, sorry, unless it's part of a bigger deal for a star or starter.

I was big on the Springer for Coffey concept earlier in the year but that’s when it looked like LAC might fall out of contention.

Plus that’s before I realized that Springee was going to be an elite role player like he showed definitively in that game the other night.

I miss when we sucked and would acquire big names at the trade deadline.

Now being a Championship contender all we talk about is acquiring players who end of bench kind of players.

Crazy thought, but is the CBA and all of these apron restrictions perhaps one of the biggest reasons ratings are down? Teams that are close but spent the money can’t reasonably upgrade. Teams not close, but maybe a big trade would put them very close don’t make moves because they’re afraid they won’t be able to afford that team long enough to win a title. Parody is great in theory until you realize the league has historically not had a lot of parody and done just fine. 2 teams literately make up almost half of the championships and there’s been multiple dynasties from other teams that drove ratings (Bulls, Spurs, Warriors). Tell me an OKC/Cle Finals wouldn’t be stories about the lack of ratings more than the level of play and the young superstars on the biggest stage.

Fix this mess Silver. Teams want to make moves. Players obviously want to move to contenders and especially so the last dozen years. Teams are willing to spend money on a winner and making it so crazy expensive to do so while rewarding the cheap owners doesn’t help your product. It only helps the cheap owners.
