I'm going to miss AT in Connecticut! Best of luck to her.

Looks like Satou is going to Phoenix (sorry I don't have the twitter link proper, I don't like using that app)

I'm glad. If Satou wants to come to NY she can do it in free agency. BLH and Leo are too valuable to trade

Cunningham is a good get for Indiana. Adding a career 36% 3 point shooter with decent size in the rotation is huge for the Fever.

Ngl Cunningham to Indy is hilarious

Cunningham is a good get, but the #8 pick is a little too much, imo. They clearly wanted to unload NaLyssa.

PHX is going to be really interesting this year if they can get some depth.

I wouldn't have traded #8 for her either tbh, but now you have Boston, Howard, Cunningham, Mitchell, Clark as your starting 5. That's really good, and Hull still off the bench.

I look at it as the Fever going all in right now to put a really good team around CC before things get crazy next winter. I don't blame them.

Was Nalyssa Smith considered negative value in a trade? I don't know much about Cunningham. Looks like a solid role player based on stats, but Smith + #8 for a role player that might not even start doesn't seem like a good value return unless Smith is considered negative value.

I still dont understand letting Temi go unprotected. Seems like their roster would be complete if they had her still.

starters: Clark ~ Mitchell ~ Sophie/Lexi ~ Howard ~ Boston
bench5: Berger ~ Lexi/Sophie ~ KLS ~ Dantas ~ Temi

The roster still looks like its in good shape. The Howard pickup seems real nice and I think in terms of just the players exchanged that Nalyssa for Cunningham is an upgrade.

Smith is considered deep negative value.

And people have to adjust their perception of draft pick value in the WNBA. It is not akin to NBA (although this should change a bit with expansion and better ability to pull the euro players over). I think I saw that three of the last five #8 picks are out of the league. The remaining two are fringe rotation players.

I do wish they would have protected Temi. We'll see their remaining moves though. Seems like they have cap room for one more big signing.

Dijonai seems very good. Feel like Dallas wins that easy assuming they can retain her.

I don't necessarily disagree about overvaluing draft picks, and I know I'm guilty of it.

But still, 2 of those #8 draft picks played a major role on the Lynx last year (Alanna and Courtney). Another started for a team that took the Lynx to the brink (Bri Jones). Heck, Phee was a #6 pick. The league champions started a player drafted in the 2nd round.

And we're about to have 36 more roster spots (maybe more if the new CBA increases roster sizes).

WNBA draft picks traditionally don't have much value after outside of the lottery, but helpful players can still be found in the back half of the 1st round and that will be even more true as the league grows.

Are Rebecca Allen and Kia Nurse redundant?

No, they both provide size and shooting which the Sky need at the 2/3 positions. Though I look at them as bench players so we still need to see what we do at the draft. We also resigned Michaela who will likely be our starting SF. So I'm thinking best case scenerio after draft night:

Olivia/Sloot
Gianna Kneepkens/Nurse
Michaela/Rebecca
Angel/FA big
Kamilla/E Will

or

PaoPao/Sloot
Sonia Citron/Nurse
Michaela/Rebecca
Angel/FA big
Kamilla/E Will

I think it might be worth it give Dana Evans one more year to see if "international Dana" can finally translate to the W. Although I'm not sure if there will be room after Sloot, Nurse, Allen and the 2 draft picks.

DeWanna Bonner to the Fever.

Wow. In an off-season of shockers, this one feels like the biggest.

Fever are freaking loaded.

I hope Maxwell in for Kristi Wallace is Fever last move. Just load up on shooters.

Is Sophie Cunningham better on defense than Lexie Hull?

If they are cool with giving Berger a shot at backup PG it seems like the only other need they could have is backup center. They can play with so much size and shooting.

Clark/Berger
Mitchell/Lexie/Wallace
Sophie/Bonner
Howard/KLS/Saxton
Boston/Dantas

WOW!!!!!!

Clark, Mitchell, Bonner, Howard, Boston is championship level stuff.

The Fever are legit contenders. Kudos to Indiana's management team.
