Pwill isn't a great orator and guys who aren't tend to say things that sound delusional trying to project confidence. I think he is aware that he is playing bad and isn't meaning to come off like that.

Yeah, Pat has this in common with former bulls “cash considerations” and “one man’s trash”. Pat is more like Hutchison, Bell than he is Jimmy. Except he’s paid like Jimmy.

He's played well since moved to the bench. If he can keep it up, then there's not much to complain about. It will be interesting if BD brings him back to the SL or if he determines that Pat is just more comfortable off the bench.

at this point you have to think he's a bench player. He'll get his minutes! No question! But it seems clear that he is more comfortable as a bench body

I like our main forward rotation next year to be Matas/Flagg starting, with PWill backing up both and Phillips in for extra minutes. Sound good?

Bench and starting means nothing.

It’s all about role and usage and 5 man units.

Pat is playing better because he’s getting more usage on ball as a scorer and playmaker. This causes him to be more engaged and play better D and rebound as well.

Pat needs to play offense like a wing not a PF. He needs movement like Lauri.

IDK, I think it's more than just usage. He seems to need the motivation caused by coming off the bench instead of starting. It seems to happen every time he's benched, and then it fades after he starts again.

Proves my point. He plays way less mins with Lavine and Vuc when coming off the bench.

Having Casper on the bench opens the starting spot for Matas.

Playing better by Patrick standards is still nothing special. An average of 13.5 points over 2 games in his 5th year? Ignorable.
In his 2nd year McDermott dropped 20, 30 point games for us.

LaVine actively tries to get him involved early at his own expense.

Pat is just a low level bench player.

Three straight games of good rebounding. Too early to state that bench play is the fix for him, but the improvement should be noted. This version of Pat ain't bad.

So we know it’s a matter of motivation and focus, not a lack of physical ability. Or, he’s just more productive not going against starters all the time. I would still bet Pat will revert back to form eventually. This is not the real Pat. He’s faking it right now.

Let´s trade him at the deadline when he still has some value.

It won't last. He will mentally accept his new role and regress to not rebounding.

I’m all for it but I don’t think you get anything more than expirings.

I’d wait and look to move him at the draft. I think he could add some value getting more shots after Vuc or Lavine are gone.

The difference between being a bench warmer and a starter is massive.

I'd rather be a starter than bench warmer fodder.

Yeah, but before this season looked like a competent 3&D role player. He has regressed to being awful and borderline unplayable.

There were many fans who thought he was a bust before this season.

Not sure the Bulls will be in the lottery without trading Zach and Vuc .I won't be surprised with another standing path trade deadline.
