Dejounte has 21 triple doubles. Fox has one. I'm not questioning Fox's utter talents, but the criteria for comparison can be different. IMO Dejounte fits Kings better than Fox. Although Fox is brighter.

I'm sorry, I just don't think career triple doubles plays into any value perspective. Russ has 201 career triple doubles, he signed for near minimum

Lots of rumors that Castle isn't involved and a 4 team deal close.

Mentally prepared for Bradley Beal + picks. I think if that happens my time with this franchise is done. I struggled through 20 years of trash with this team, this would likely be the last straw.

I'll hold to see what the final deal looks like, but that would be truly KANGZ

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Beal or Lavine + pick(s) for Fox at this point. :banghead:

It appears the Kings still want to give this current core a run by re-tooling.

This Kings org has little patience in amassing future assets. Things why this why the Kings are the KANGZ.

And look I get it.. Sabonis is playing at an All-NBA level. Wasted years suck.

You make it very clear with SA, its Castle or nothing. If they don't like it you keep Fox until the off-season, fire Monte/Wilcox for botching this from the start, and bring in a new brain trust who gets to work on a deal. Bobby Marks said it on YT today, historically teams pay more in the off-season. Teams will get beat in the first round, or second round and they will make a big move to try and improve. What is the rush if we don't love the deal?

If SA bites, you end up getting Castle plus some other contracts and picks. Now we have contracts in Tre Jones, Lyles, Collins, Huerter that we can package with those picks to improve win now pieces.

I’m hoping the Vivek flying out to meet with Fox stuff is nonsense

I wanted to give them credit that they are trading him on their own volition (credit in my mind, no offense, lol), and that he will be traded most definitely

Russ's win/loss triple double split is 143/51. Also, when there's no Russ on the court, I can't help but falling asleep, but that must be just me.

Also, since Russ's name has been mentioned, Westbrook for Fox would mean immediate and easy title for Kings. But the idea, of course, is too crazy. Sabonis was literally brought up by Russell, they are the most organic duo. Even Len easily had 14-18 points with Russ assisting him at Wizards. And so on. Wizards were way worse than Kings, but nevertheless scary enough for Lebron to lure Russ to Lakers just to dismantle Wizards as a contender.

Looks like you think it's your turf, man, and I'd better stop indeed. Just for future reference, don't say things like "triple doubles have nothing to do with value" and "lol stop man" with the same mouth. See you.

I don't own the board. But it's 2025 and you are here saying swap fox for Westbrook and kings win a title. With a brand new account. I assume you are here to troll

You are entitled to your own opinion of Russ but do not troll the Kings board with this. If you were aiming for sarcasm please do a better job next time.

If a deal with the Spurs is happening and Castle has been removed from any talks, this would be my request. Anything less than this would be robbery by the Spurs. Even this is somewhat disappointing- role players and picks. Sochan is intriguing

Vassell, Sochan, Keldon '25 Hawks/ '25 Spurs/ '27 Hawks/ '31 Kings swap returned

For

Fox, Heurter

I’ve said before that I’m fine with EITHER Castle OR the good picks you have listed - also hopefully quash the ‘31 swap obligation or that instead of the ATL ‘27.

I also look at that and say that if DDR wants to take the attitude he SEEMS to be espousing from the quotes, then repackage him and that later pick and one of those younger guys and go get an impact piece that upsizes the front court (ie a deal with Minnesota for McDaniels ideal but Randle is fine for this year’s run then a S and T or let him walk off season and have space) and loads us for this year’s playoffs and see what Doug can do with it.

I watched the Spurs game last night, and what I found most impressive is how many guys between 6'6 - 6'8 they have. They felt everywhere on the court.

I do think that with this kind of deal another ball handler would be important. And Carter probably becomes expendable.

Curious if Carter + Demar for Collins + Collier makes sense. Utah gets the higher upside young guy, Kings get the big. Route Demar to LA for Rui or whatever you see fit.

Sabonis/Collins
Sochan/Lyles
Keegan/Keldon
Vassell/Keon
Monk/Collier

I don't think this team has a ton of upside, but I actually think they would preform better during the regular season. We finally address the massive size problem we've had. Maybe one of those picks hits

this is fine. Sochan is a good building block. Vassell is a legit starting SG. Keldon is ballast. The picks suck but it does give us ammo if we want to move around in future drafts. I think this would both keep us as realistically competitive as we were before the trade but would cap our ceiling more (Fox can carry a team imho) but give us a brighter future.

I'm afraid Sochan wouldn't be part of the trade though which would kill the deal for me but is about what I'd expect from a buffoon like McNair.

You do realize that the big odds right now for that ATL pick is lotto bound with Johnson going down for the season? And the Spurs are no guarantees to be out of the lotto either - especially if Fox ends up being hurt enough to not make it through the season.

I don’t have a problem with the picks given at all and would hope that provides enough depth for us to make it to playoffs (by whatever route) and therefore extinguish the obligation to ATL and free ALL of our picks going forward.

That’s a nice position to be in under the current CBA with the hard aprons making pick value so much more.

In the meantime we have immediately gained depth and size and still have easily moveable pieces (Lyles, Len and the cheaper guys) that can be packaged with a pick for say Cam or Collins for size concerns.

I’m good with that now and moving forward.

Fox remained with his team Longer than Luka did. Vlade is somewhere smokin a stogie watching Bagley highlights.

This is just kind of unreal.

There has to be something more to this. Somebody know something that’s not out there yet.

I'll be away from here for a bit, my first baby boy arrived on Friday but it's great to see the league has decided to be insane lol. Wonder if this delays any other delays that might have been in the works league wide since it's so unexpected and league changing.

Congrats man! My wife and I are expecting our first (girl) in the next week!

Crazy that Luka gets traded to the freaking Lakers, and Fox is going to be traded the same week. Bad week for a Kings fan, but at least good things going on at home lol
