What are you doing Raptors?
we are winning 6 games in a row
Nah, you don't wanna do that, you should lose!
why
Well you should trade your vets for draft picks, fight for a top spot in the draft lottery to land a high end propsect
then what
Then next year, you lose again just as bad. This may be harder as you've gained talent, but break thy spirit of thy players and losing should come natural. Do that again for a few years, build a roster full of young talented players.
then what
Then you find a coach who can develop young players, start building towards success, maybe use the fact that you have a bunch of folks on rookie contracts to sign an experience free agent speed things up, develop those players into better assets that can be used in trades. If any of your current players become disgruntled, just trade them for more draft picks!
then what
Finally, after 6 years of tanking and improving those young players, you can then go on a 6 game winning streak.
Can you show an example of this mythical creature? The so called “broken spirit player”. The player that endured a losing season and that because of losing, was never able to recover their basketball skills.
