I assume Tucker gets bought out but what can you expect from a dude nearing 40 years of age who hasn't played in a few years.

Eubanks is one of the worst players in the league. He isnt better than Bamba lol if Mo wasnt getting minutes Eubanks isnt

This was the big trade everyone was waiting for to start the trade season.
Ik you're green font but it has honestly been crickets. Someone had to get it started... Outside of the 2 little trades the Suns did last month.

Lakers trade as well. Think there's only been a handful.

I thought I read somewhere that a lot of deals were on hold until the Butler (and maybe not Fox) situation got sorted out.

The Clippers can't get any luxury tax payments as a team from a major market just like the Lakers

Gives more than just trade flexibility, allows them to hop on the buy out market. Also avoids the repeater tax.

This is a move with future CBA in mind as that's why they let PG walk to avoid the chokehold.

All while not downgrading on the court, heck, might have actually improved, even if it's by an iota.

That's the belief. Teams want to see which players and picks get moved and try to respond if possible. If Butler gets moved to a contender, I expect a lot of last minute trades to improve.

That fun fact isn't true.

Yup, just to show how off this "fact" was all they guys I listed were picked in 1st round - Dunn, Hyland, Brown, Batum, Porter Jr. And there's likely someone I'm forgetting anyway.

This is a lesson that Grok does not know much about basketball (and that I am too lazy to do my own research). Still, Hyland and Brown are third stringers, Batum was late in the draft and KPJ / Dunn were lottery picks but both are now backups.

Overall, from a lottery pick perspective, the Clippers have done quite a lot with undrafted players, second round picks, and NBA rejects. Considering that Harden and Kawhi are well past their primes, this is an achievement. Kudos to Lue and Van Gundy.

Edit - to add to this, all of the listed 1st round players make up around $17M of team payroll of $173M.

I mean... he had Chris Paul as his PG. How much better than that do you need?

Hmm. I swore they were on there at the same time. Guess it was "Point Book" and that's hardly a point at all. Believe me when I say it won't matter. Eubanks is a false positive.

PJ Tucker’s holdout must be the most pointless in NBA history

Don't worry, I'm under no impression that he's a "good" player at the NBA level. Clippers just want him to shoot mid 60% FG, grab some rebounds and not be totally lost on defense while being on the court for 10-15 minutes so that Zubac can rest.

Just a thought, but does this put the Clippers in pole position for the Ben Simmons sweepstakes now? Being under the tax enables the Clippers to sign him post buyout, but most competitive teams will be prohibited from bidding. Clips also have unspent MLE.

Simmons has been a fantasy pick for me and the Clippers for a long time now. Maybe this is the year. I honestly think once Ben is home, and playing with a friendly and tolerant fan base, he will regain his confidence and his injuries will just disappear.

The Jamaal Tinsley situation was pretty interesting. It took the Paces a while to waive him (https://www.espn.com/nba/news/story?id=4349316), and he was fined $250,000 for refusing to shower after games.

And according to Bruno Sandov

"Guess how much Jamal Tinsley paid in fines for not showering? He paid $250,000 in fines because he did not want to shower after practices. It's like he's taking a shower at home; he doesn't want to be naked among everyone... We counted at the end, and he paid $250,000 worth of fines for not showering; in the end, a scandal broke out, and he had to speak with his agent, and his girlfriend."

Never read that, but Robert Swift popped in my mind first  Dude was crazy. Off Wiki:

Spoiler:
In 2013, Swift refused to vacate his foreclosed home, which had been bought by a new owner. The new owner bought the house in Sammamish, Washington, in January 2013 for half the price Swift paid in 2006.[11][12] Swift eventually left the home, which was reportedly riddled with animal feces, guns, bullets, beer bottles, and garbage. Observers also noted old letters from some of the top college basketball programs in the country trying to recruit Swift, before he went straight to the NBA from high school.[13]

In October 2014, police raided the house of Trygve Bjorkstam, an alleged heroin and methamphetamine dealer, who had a collection of 18 guns. They found Swift living in the home, and in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. In November 2014, police charged Swift with unlawful possession of a short-barreled shotgun.[14]

On January 8, 2015, Swift was arrested by police for involvement in an armed home invasion attempt. Swift claimed he was high on drugs at the time of the incident.[15]

Or Eddie Griffin:

.On March 30, 2006, Griffin was involved in a car crash. Witnesses and friends stated that he was watching a "pornographic movie on a DVD in his vehicle, and was masturbating".[6]

Anyways, back on topic, hoping Brogdon gets bought out. Perfect backup PG

I don't understand why pj tucker has been such an a hole with his last 2 teams.

Dude is the best dressed guy in the league and players like him. Why did he want to go out like this.
