Anyone who thinks NAW could ever be a starting caliber player needs to remember this game.
He is just atrocious offensively even when he is doing nothing but taking catch and shoot 3's.
Finch's obsession with him is hurting this team.
Just not enough left in the tank.
With all the guys we had sitting the talent level in this game is fairly even, but there is no reason we should have lost this game.
The perimeter defense was poor even with the Wizards basically not playing a true PG the whole game.
Brogdon is so cooked he looks like he needs to go to fat camp.
We badly needed this one and to clean up on this homestand because the schedule is going to get unbelievably brutal later this month and I expect Julius to be out for at least a month.
Should have traded him when we had the chance now we are basically screwed with 33 million dollars of dead weight that's gonna milk that injury for all its worth and opt in next summer.
Great game from Jaden but when your crunch time offense is step back 3's form him and NAW you are in HUGE trouble.
Would have much rather seen TSJ get a little run in this game than 41 minutes of NAW.
His slashing game would have been perfect against the non existant rim protection from the wizards.
Lots of guys on the Wizards playing tonight like they desperately want another team to trade for them.

We were missing our top FOUR scorers. This was not that surprising.
Jaden’s 3 was not ideal, but he was 3/4 from deep before that shot. NAW’s look was as good as you could have expected given the scenario. Sometimes the shots don’t fall.
Poor coaching…sure, maybe in the first half. Defense was terrible in the first half. 4th quarter, Finch ran with the hot lineup. I respect that. Big Dillingham fan. He didn’t do squat after his first shift and was a fouling sieve in the 3rd quarter.
Go follow the Wizards with your terrible takes.
Now, with these injuries….we could be in deep trouble. That’s a huge concern!
Mad about this game? No, it was a pretty good effort being that short handed.
Did you really come here talking about "bad takes" giving bad takes? SO NAW who shot 2 for 9 on 3s should have taken that last shot? and that was a good shot only being down by 2? And going to the better shooter Jaden is not ideal" wtf?
Correct. Freak steal, fast break scenario, no timeouts, they run their usual dribble handoff…you get a wide open shot off of a cross over? Pretty good look!
This wasn’t an Ant fadeaway with 2 guys in his face at the buzzer.
Pass up that shot for a theoretical wild floater driving to the basket, or take an in rhythm open 3?

Explain playing Dilly/Clark/NAW/Ingles/Garza. Help me understand why one of Rudy or Jaden isn’t playing at all times. Help me understand no Dilly in the fourth quarter. Help me understand no Leonard Miller at all tonight. Help me understand why we didn’t run better plays out of the timeouts in the final 2 minutes. Yes we missed our best scoring players and TSJ who probably should be on the top 7 or 8 list as well. That said, Washington in Minnesota was very winnable, and we didn’t win it. Do you really think Finch didn’t have a hand in that?

Just finished the game. While I wish they would’ve and probably should’ve beat the wizards, I’m not going to complain too much. They played hard considering your go to guys being out.
This type is game can give confidence to guys like Jaden that should benefit down the road. It also allows Finch to evaluate more.
This game came down to not being able to get a stop. Jaden got used by Kuzma on 3 straight trips I believe. There were also a couple of questionable calls late but when you waste a challenge early, that’s what happens.
It was close but the Minnesota Jazz couldn’t quite finish.

Re: Game 49: WAS at MIN
No worries on this loss. Too many players out... Houston full roster loose against the Nets tonight, Denver get a lucky W against Charlotte..i just regret the 3 we miss and 2 or 3 lay up miss as well.
More concerned about the injury part...if NAZ miss significant time on top of DDV and Randle, we will have some trouble.

As well as I understand Finch pushed role players to the limit and now everyone has more understanding about their possible ceiling?

Sorry but HELL NO! You put anyone in a lineup with two non defenders and they will look bad on defense. Finch put out a lineup with 3. Anytime Dilly, Jingles, and Garza share the floor that lineup is instantly the worst in the game and perhaps the league. Add to that a power outage first half for Luka and it is even worse. You don’t see a ceiling of any player with offensive options 1-4 out and Shannon who is probably 8th (Jaden 5, NAW 6, Dilly 7,) also out. All we saw is that Finch needs to go.

Yes, it's one of those underdog days. POR beat PHX, BKN beat HOU, UTA beat ORL, and WAS beat MIN. A win would had been very nice, but there is always next game.

I agree we played hard. As much as I hate losing that game, I get more upset when we lose with our full lineup when we have super low energy. That's happened too often this year.

Re: Game 49: WAS at MIN
I’m trying to remember a quote from Gregg Popvich. It goes something like, “In every season, there are going to be 12 games you can’t win, and 12 games you can’t lose. The difference between being a 12-70 team and a 70-12 team depends on how you do in the middle ones.
Last night, I think it was one we were destined to lose. How many things had to go wrong to lose to the bad Wizards? It had to be Ant was out, Randle was out, DDV was out, Naz missed half the game, the Wizards had great three point shooting luck .. and it still came down to the last play. Frustrating, but I’m not going to jump off a cliff over it.

I think last night is those middle ones. We got a shot at the end and can't make it. It's the same for 4 of our last five losses. We keep coming up a little short. Good team would win more often in those situations
