Sadly going to get a lot worse for canada.. esp Auto workers... i wouldn't go that far, but Canadians can boycott travel / vacationing in USA, and boycott Tesla... sell vacation homes in Florida....

We can easily undercut this by adding tariffs to Teslas and taking them off Chinese companies like BYD. Let them open plants here and import workers in from China. The US can add tarrifs to it and we would destroy their auto industry.

Trudeau destroyed the country but I don't think he's inherently evil. He's just not fit for the position and he put friends in places they don't have credentials for. If Carney is the new leader and he cleans house I could see people voting for him. The key thing Canadians and Americans need to do is to READ THE PLATFORM. Politicians like Trump, Pollieve, etc talk a lot but their platforms rarely reflect what they say.

I'd say this extends towards both of our educational systems. We need to refine curriculums to think for ourselves and not rely on secondary sources of information, especially social media.

Let's open a thread in Off Topic Canada and discuss this further.

I just want to say I’m disgusted by this Luka trade. Like I’m **** ing sick. The Lakers getting one of the best players in the league (when healthy he’s up there with Jokic and Shai) for a 30+ AD is crazy. They’re set for the rest of the decade.

AD, Bron, Kobe, Kareem... not one of these was originally drafted by them ... they all insisted on only playing there or forced their way to LA ....

Miami will try to do same in 2026 when space n opens up...

Pretty sure we are going to have to go to the current affairs board, but lets not even for a second equate Trump and Trudeau.

Economies WORLDWIDE tanked over the past half decade. Trying to assign blame to a single politician or political party is ignoring a ton of factors. The "standard of living being decimated" is pretty strong hyperbole, and there was a global pandemic that is kind of out of the control of anyone in power (and that is why all countries, left, center, or right, saw devastating effects).

Blindlessly assigning blame and playing "what-about-ism" is how you get **** like Trump winning a presidency. Canada is better than that. At least I sure **** hope so.

In conclusion: **** Trump. But we gotta remember most Americans disagree with this. Boo that anthem. But don't forget MOST of those people down south are our friends.

Go early .. take in everything and enjoy it!! As a day one eight year season ticket holder, I loved it, no matter how good we were!!
