Luka?? To LA????

Post#1 » by badinage » Sun Feb 2, 2025 5:24 am

This is nutso.

Why would Dallas trade a Top 3 player to the Lakers for a broken-down PF who is merely good not great and a draft pick 5 yrs down the road?

Makes NO sense.

Like, how? why? and what kind of pressures were put on Dallas by the league to make this nonsense happen.

You can’t tell me this is the best return out there for a future HOF who’s only 25 and went to the Finals last year.

Doncic ought to fetch Ant-Man +.

Ought to fetch Giannis.

Ought to fetch SGA.

The only explanation is that Luka told Dallas he wouldn’t resign in 2026.

I saw a tweet that said the Mavs were concerned with Luka's conditioning and didn't want to pay him another max contract.

Sometimes you have to wonder if the Wizards and Lakers are in the same league.

I mean they got a one first for Doncic, granted along with Anthony Davis. I've never see anything like this.

Lol conditioning, what Luke turn into Brendan Fraiser in The Whale? This is madness. It makes Durant going to the Warriors look like the Wizards trading for Marvin Bagley.

Market has been set. If Luka was able to draw 1 FRP, Kuz is worth at least 2, maybe 3.

Dallas being willing to trade multiple first rounders for Kuzma is now believable because this trade seems awful.

Ernie Grunfeld, you are no longer the worst GM in NBA history.
