Luka had PO in 26/27. Maybe its similar to Fox and he already communicated he wasn't going to extend in Dallas.

If it's true then Dallas was looking for the biggest win-now trade they could find, don't think they'd be looking for a younger stud with great potential. AD is obviously still elite right now.

Spent the past 12 months building a great frontcourt for Luka just to trade him for AD. This is crazy

only thing that makes sense is luka told mavs he was leaving in summer 2026 to the lakers, and the mavs just acted early and got something for him.
