I mean, seriously, that Mavs didn't even get the 2031 Lakers first in this one?

If they shopped Luka, they could have gotten some monster packages from other teams. Tons of quality first round picks. Houston could have made a much better offer. As could OKC. Philly if they offer Maxey. Sacramento probably offers Fox and whatever else Dallas wants plus picks. Orlando puts everyone on the table but Banchero. ****, would Boston put Tatum on the table?

I don't see how Dallas wins a championship with their current roster. They lack ballhandling and could have spacing issues.

Like if you are building around a guy like luka. isnt the strategy the old AI one? Surround him with guys who are elite roleplayers/defenders and maybe one other star? Like AD in that team would make a ton of sense. I guarantee the Lakers called about Kyrie and the Mavs said how about Luka lmao

It has to be a Kidd thing. The head coach is the only one that would be unhappy about getting 5 future firsts back because they won't help right now.

If I were an opposing GM I would legitimately demand some sort of league investigation as to how the Lakers still have tradeable picks or picks swaps remaining after this deal.
