They still didn't have to accept doodoo on a platter. Plenty of stars have requested a trade and kick off a bidding war

They could have gotten Booker for him. Suns would have done it.

I'd throw in all our picks we have left as well

...and KD. Both of them for Luka. Any day of the week.

This feels like a weird tampering thing. Something ain't right.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Come on Miyagi. NBA is helping set up the Lakers post LeBron.

How many times have we seen it happen?

Kinda sad for Mavs fans. What a turnaround in three seasons. Get fined for fixing a game to miss the playoffs, make the finals and now unexpectedly get shocking news about their idol being traded. This league can be harsh. From the Mavs board:

"Became a hard core fan during Dirk’s 2nd season.
I hate the lakers with passion.
Really feel its God telling me to stop spending time on sports and focus on my family…."

The man lost a LOT I mean A LOT of money. I wonder there's something we don't know about Luka's health or his approach to his conditioning. Resigning a generational talent entering his prime is a no-branier. WTF are they thinking?

Mavs trading Luka because he is fat before the Pels trading Zion is insane.

I keep telling people, that these reports are just spin jobs by league schills to try and calm down or at last distract all of the NBA executives that will likely demand an investigation on collusion. Mulholland also mentioned Nico Harrisons' (Mavs GM) connection to Lebron James through Nike. And people should be asking themselves why the story keeps shifting from one pretty lame excuse to another...................................whether it's conditioning concerns or then it becomes concerns over him asking for a trade, then it becomes they didn't feel that they could win with Doncic!

This is a pretty obvious damage control narrative spinning to distract and confuse fans who are upset over the league once again bailing out the lakes and propping up their team for a post-LBJ future. And people shouldn't forget that Zion also mentioned having an interest in playing for a big market like the Lakers if traded! # New big three! Lastly, It'd be convenient that Rui Hachimura and Shake Milton just happen to make 19.8 million and Vucevic just happens to make $20 million, and Capela makes $22 million, putting them right in line for them to add one of these two starting centers! :nonono:

The NFL equivalent of this would be like the Chiefs trading Mahomes to the Steelers for TJ Watt and a 1st round pick.

And for the record, I’d be okay with it if that trade happened in the NFL.

I'm not a very conspiratorial person but I am when it comes to basketball-qaeda aka the Los Angeles Lakers. Kinda sorta have to be skeptical of the legitimacy of everything involving that franchise considering 2002 and all the **** that franchise has perpetrated on the league over the years and all the **** the league has perpetrated on everyone over the years.
