It's inconceivable Dallas didn't end up with everything of value the Lakers had to offer in this trade, including the 2031 first-rounder, Knecht and pick swaps. Given Doncic's desirability, the Mavericks should have operated with maximum leverage instead of making a deal short of perfect. Even if things work out perfectly, in an analogy befitting the team's ownership, Dallas left money on the table.

Who cares? He carried your team to the finals and is top 5 at 25. There isn't a justification you can throw out, this is the worst trade in NBA history. Calling my shot at that. Mavs have to watch a guy like Giannis accomplish great things on the LAKERS. I'm sick.

Yeah, no rumblings of this whatsover tells me they haven't been shopping him around very long, right? Someone somewhere would have leaked something. They traded away a 25 year old superstar for like a 2 year window?

There's gotta be some kind of corruption on this one. There's no way they couldn't have just called up OKC and gotten like 10 1sts and a young guy they like.
