This truly an unfathomable trade. The only way I can wrap my head around it is that the lakers think that the reason they lost the finals was because the of the fit between luka and Kyrie and Luka’s defense. Which Davis is better at both. And ,Abe they won’t want to pay him the insane deal he’ll get. But one first for a player with five years max left in his career and that generous.

I’m far from a conspiracy theorist but some fishy going on is the only way my brain can slllow to accept this is real. I don’t think it’s anything the that nefarious like Adam Silver being involved but apparently the mavs gm and ad have a relationship through Nike. But even then shams said no player involved has my clue this was happening. The mavs gm has to be a secret lakers fan.

I believe LeBron has said if he had the opportunity to play with any young star it was Luka but I wouldn’t be surprised if this deal finally got the lakers to accept a trade sending LeBron to the warriors.
